As part of the improvements in the Iloilo City Public Transport Route Guide, official maps from the LTFRB are now embedded within the route guides for easier navigation.

As of last night, I have verified nine routes. The website now has full roundtrip structures so wherever your origin is, you can still find your next destinations. Also included are list of destinations corresponding to the streets traversed by the public transport routes. I also included Route Finder where you can search for landmarks and it will return routes which pass by the said landmarks.

I hope this helps. I am actually a one-man team in doing this initiative. I am not funded nor mandated to work on this. But as a commuter, I believe there is value in this and that everyone deserves to be guided to the greatest extent. Change is good. We just need to work together. Lastly, special thanks to LTFRB PUVMP Regional Project Management Office - 6 and Iloilo City Planning and Development Office for granting my request on these high resolution maps which enhanced the development of this project.

Animation is really a complicated thing to do especially if you do it from scratch. This one is my unfinished project where I left off last year. It reminds me how the pandemic really had to change the way things work. Today, Iloilo City is battling a bigger wave of cases. Stay home.

IT'S SAD TO SAY GOODBYE.
I'LL BE BACK SHORTLY.

Rayad Design started in 2019 and it has since been an opportunity for me to meet new friends in my clients. Most clients were from my colleagues who grew their businesses, who had no designer friends to create an amazing invitation for their wedding or birthday of their kids. Each design was a challenge and a learning opportunity for me.

I even established a website www.rayaddesign.com to showcase some of my work. It also incurred some investment but visitor volume didn't really make the domain survive. So now, it is gone.

This page also had several down times. For one, I am a one-man team in Rayad Design. I am an engineer working in the government at day and a passionate designer at night. Being an engineer will not really give you all the money other people expect, it requires hard work and that is why I turned this talent into something where I can get extra resources. These resources brought me to my dream destinations like Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand and United Arab Emirates. One realization is that, when you work so hard for something, you will definitely get it. Law of attraction.

Anyways, going back. This page will still be up and running but not on a regular basis. And clients will have to email me directly at [email protected] for transactions.

My portfolio will be gradually migrated to my professional website which I intend to maintain and grow: www.ilonggoengineer.com where Rayad Design will remain the same but with a different home.

Congratulations to Iloilo City's very own The Central Echo of Central Philippine University for winning Best Nameplate Design, Modern Modular Design (Magazine) and Minimalist Campus Paper Design (Tabloid) in the 2020 Best-Designed Campus Papers of the Philippines Awards.

Even at regional level competitions of other award-giving bodies, this CPU-based publication has so far led the new generation of publication design, with fresh minimalist approaches, clean typography and high quality images and illustrations.

I have watched this publication grow through time since they reinvented their brand as early as 2012 and they continuously surprise me.

Are we, designers, a joke to people? Two factors to consider, either the institution finds design work to be that low in terms of compensation (a slap on our faces) OR it's because the people there had to contribute their own money (Di binigyan ng budget) since the government doesn't find visual and corporate identity worth the investment (for reference the SEA Games Logo, the new BSP logo, among others).
