Late post, but definitely a conversation worth sharing.
Last June 30, during the last day of NICT, I had the opportunity to be a guest on Usapang Babae with Maβam Jeanette Climaco, where we talked about Women in the Digital World. I shared a little about my journey as a Social Media Manager, my experience in digital skills training, and how I continue to explore opportunities in Virtual Assistance, freelancing, and other areas of the digital world.
We also talked about digital parenting, something I believe is very relevant today. Since hindi na talaga maiiwasan ang paggamit ng gadgets ng mga bata, as parents, we can learn how to guide and monitor them instead. Kahit busy tayo, there are tools like Google Family Link that can help us manage screen time, check apps, and set age-appropriate restrictions. Technology can be challenging, but when used properly, it can also become a helpful tool for our work and our families.
Thank you so much, Maβam Jeanette Climaco, for giving me the opportunity to share my experience as a woman in the digital world. And thank you to everyone behind NICT for creating spaces where women can learn, connect, and share their stories. Hopefully, our conversation can inspire more women and parents to keep learning, embrace digital skills, and use technology in ways that create more opportunities and a safer digital environment for our families.
