As part of its Community Extension Services, North Valley College initiated a donation drive for the residents of Barangay New Canaan, Municipality of Alabel, Sarangani Province, one of the barangays affected by the earthquake and located in a remote area of the municipality.
This outreach experience is truly one to remember. Traveling for almost two hours in a dump truck to reach Barangay New Canaan was not easy, but every sacrifice was worth it when we saw the smiles and gratitude of the community members who had been patiently waiting for our help.
Our heartfelt thanks to the MDRRMO Alabel for assisting us throughout this activity. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Barangay Captain Hon. Benjie Balando and Barangay Secretary of New Canaan for their warm welcome and kind hospitality.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Quality Assurance personnel, Mr. Rogelio Bayod, for initiating and ensuring the quality and proper implementation of this initiative and for supporting the successful conduct of the activity.
Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our School President, Dr. Cris Samuel S. Babol, Vice President for Student Affairs, Mylyn April S. Babol, and Administrator, Dave Alpanta, for their unwavering support, guidance, and commitment to community extension and outreach initiatives.
We hope that this small act of kindness has brought comfort and support to your community as you continue to recover from the challenges brought by the earthquake.
Finally, thank you to North Valley College and all the NSTP teachers who worked together to make this meaningful outreach activity possible. Together, we proved that compassion, unity, and service can make a real difference in the lives of others.
