🎡 Take a look back at some of the moments from the UPSSS booth during the UPLB February Fair held last February 10–14!

Throughout the week, our booth was filled with excitement as students, visitors, and friends stopped by to try out our games and join in the FebFair. We’re grateful to everyone who took the time to visit, play, and share laughs with us. Your energy truly made the experience more memorable.

We would also like to extend our warm appreciation to our UPSSS alumni who dropped by the booth to visit and reconnect. It was wonderful seeing different batches come together and show their continued support for the organization. Your presence meant a lot to us and reminded us of the strong community that UPSSS continues to build through the years. 💚

Of course, congratulations as well to the lucky players who won tote bags and stickers from our Pop to Wap game! ✨

🎨🌱 LupArt 2026: Handbuilding Pottery Workshop

In celebration of National Arts Month 2026 with the theme “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting,” the UP Soil Science Society, in collaboration with the UPCFA Ceramics Studio, successfully conducted LupArt 2026—where soil becomes a medium for truth, courage, and creativity.

From insightful lectures to hands-on pottery, participants explored the science behind soil and transformed clay into meaningful works of art. Each piece shaped reflects not only creativity, but also the powerful connection between knowledge and expression.

This year, we’re hosting a Handbuilding Pottery Workshop, a hands-on experience that lets you shape clay using only your hands—no pottery wheel needed! Through this workshop, we honor the harvest of art (ani ng sining) by grounding expression in the very soil that sustains us.

🖌 Guiding us through this workshop is 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗲𝘇𝘇𝗲𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗲, faculty member of UPCFA and Ceramics Studio Coordinator. The three-hour session includes:

✅ A brief lecture on pottery fundamentals
✅ A demonstration of essential handbuilding techniques
✅ A hands-on workshop where you can craft your own piece
