Kilala si Razon sa pangunguna nito sa ilang nagdaang eleksyon katulad ng 2016 council race, bilang primera konsehal, at 2019 vice mayoral race, laban sa dating alkalde na si Roderick Umali.

But in 2025, history was written as then-reelectionist Vincent Arjay Mea was the lone candidate on the ballot. This led to his assured second term in office.

Sa kasaysayan ng bayan ng Tiaong, may ilang alkalde ang parehong naglingkod sa pinakamataas na posisyon sa bayan gaya ng kanilang ama.

Ilan sa mga ito ay sina Higino Pasumbal (1931-1934) at anak nitong si Petronio Pasumbal (1940-1943); Marino Umali (1944-1947) at anak nitong si Raul Umali (1986-1987, 2001-2010); at ang anak ni Raul Umali na si Roderick Umali (2010-2013).

SOON TO GRADUATE

The 2028 elections in Tiaong, Quezon will mark a major turning point for the local council. Four current members which includes Maja Escueta, Eula Lopez, Elton Rex Baldeo, and Tom Ilao are legally barred from seeking reelection after serving their maximum terms.

A source told Mamamayang Journo News Channel that one other councilor may opt not to seek reelection.

: Apat sa walong konsehal ng bayan ng Tiaong, Quezon ang term-limited na sa 2028. Kalahati ito ng bilang ng mga konsehal sa Sangguniang Bayan.

Ano ang “term-limited”?

: Ang term limit ay ang restriksyon sa haba ng panahon na maaaring manungkulan ang isang public official.

Ang mga konsehal ay maaari lamang tumakbo at manalo ng tatlong beses na sunod-sunod. Matapos ang tatlong termino, bawal na silang tumakbong muli sa parehong posisyon sa kasunod na eleksyon.

Maghihintay sila ng tatlong taon bago muling makatakbo sa parehong posisyon.

‘Yan ang kahulugan nito para sa mga term-limited councilors na sina Maja Escueta, Eula Lopez, RecRec Baldeo, at Tom Ilao.
