Coleman's Shrimp - Periclimenes colemani - 11th photo below used as model for identification

Description:
Coleman's shrimp (a.k.a. Fire Urchin Shrimp) are found exclusively on the fire urchin (Asthenosoma varium). These commensal shrimp are usually in pairs, the larger one being the female. The host urchin's spines do not harm the shrimp, but they usually clear an area on the urchin where they perch. They feed on parasites, algae and plankton.

Fast Facts
Size Range: grows to 2 cm in length.
Introduction: is a tiny fish. It lives on gorgonians (sea fans)

Identification
The Pygmy Seahorse has a short snout, rounded knob-like coronet and irregular bulbous tubercles on the body. It has a rounded spine above each eye and on each cheek.
Two colour morphs are recorded for this species, one is pale grey or purple with pink or red tubercles, the second is yellow with orange tubercles.

Habitat: is found only on gorgonians (sea fans), in depths of 16 m to 40 m.

Distribution: coral reefs of the Western Pacific including Australia.
