Over time, photos on our social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), especially the older ones, become blurry or low-quality. This is due to their lossy compression, platform optimization, and re-encoding during updates. They do these to save and optimize storage space. Another factor is device and display changes. Older photos may look worse today because modern screens (higher resolution, HDR) reveal flaws that weren't noticeable years ago.

In this little project, I took old photos of mine dating back to May 2019. I used Topaz Gigapixel to upscale my images using AI, and Adobe Photoshop for image recomposition, adding graphic elements and other visual tweaks.
