🎀PHOTOSHOOT PROPER🎀

📸 The Set
For the sets in this photoshoot, I made sure that each would match my friends’ personalities and preferences. So for Kriska’s set, I chose film because 1) she likes to take photos on film, 2) I knew that her colors were green and my Diana F+ matches.

To match the “Film” theme, I added instax prints, developed photos, and a film roll. To finish the set, I used a cement looking background to give the photos a street vibe to match Kriska’s outfit.

📸 The Photoshoot
After experimenting during the Fist Set, my friends and I were able to learn and adapt to what we were supposed to do. We knew Kriska, as well as Ika and Leanne, needed to start taking photos ahead of time. So Kriska started taking photos of herself while I was still finishing up with Rianna’s Set. But even with the head start, there was still wait time because she struggled to take selfies on her own.

Another difference between this set and the previous one is that I didn’t give Kriska live direction. Instead, she tried to follow poses that I saved on our Pinterest board. With enough tries, she was able to pull it off and here are the results!

🎀PHOTOSHOOT PROPER🎀

🌻The Set
For the sets in this photoshoot, I made sure that each would match my friends’ personalities and preferences. So for the first set, I chose to go with flowers, something Ri loves.

I bought three bunches of flowers and made sure that their colors would complement Ri’s monochrome outfit.
Arranging the flowers was the difficult part because I didn’t have a floral foam or an alternative to hold them in place. I just made sure I cut the stems in the right size for them to look the way they did. Some are held together by rubber bands but majority are not so I’m very fortunate and glad they stayed together throughout the shoot.

🌻 Experimentation Stage
This was the very first time that I tried shooting someone over the internet. I wasn’t really sure how it would go. I’m very thankful to my friends because they were patient and ready for anything! We winged the whole process but after a few hours, we got the hang of it.

This was the first set I did mainly because I had to set up the flowers first (since they were the hardest to arrange) and because Ri lives in a different time zone, 12 hours behind PH time.

I’m used to shooting Ri in person and she’s used to following my directions after showing her the poses and sometimes, physically adjusting my angle. But we can’t do our usual over video call!

It was hard to communicate how I exactly do the angle I want. It was a struggle during the first few minutes but we handled the live shoot fine.
I wasn’t satisfied with some shots so I asked her to take selfies and to send them over. I found this process to be a lot easier and it also looks better on cam, less pixelated as well because there was no delay over the video call anymore.

What do you guys think of this set?
Let me know if you have tips for me!

Ever heard of a "Zoom Photoshoot?"
Well last May 15, I finally tried it out with my best friends (AKA my forever models). Except we didn't do it on Zoom but on FACEBOOK MESSENGER!

I'll share my process with you on how I did my first ever online shoot. It was definitely a challenge but fun and worth it!

🎀 STEP ONE of my process: PRE-PROD 🎀
Part of my preparation is thinking of a theme and looking for pegs. Thankfully, my friends love browsing on Pinterest so I had help from them during this step.

For this photoshoot, we decided that the theme is MONOCHROME OUTFITS. Then based on the outfits and colors, I started to think and look for pegs of the sets I can do.
