Did you know that the island of Culion in Palawan once housed what was considered to be the largest l***r colony in the world? But advances in leprosy medications have led to the near eradication of the disease in our country, leading to Culion being declared leprosy-free in 2006. That’s definitely something to celebrate this .

That’s because both the Department of Health (DOH) and the National Nutrition Council (NNC) encourage the use of the appropriate amount of iodized salt to help combat Iron Deficiency Disorders, such as goiter.
