A creative process you can try.

Sometimes, it feels good to step back from all the rules...
of color theory, anatomy, light value, and just paint intuitively. No pressure, no planning, just letting the moment guide each stroke. It’s a gentle reminder that art isn’t always about perfection; sometimes it’s simply about creating freely and breathing in the joy of the process.

And maybe, in that freedom, you can ask yourself: What if the colors and strokes you choose are simply what you feel right now? How would grief look as a color? How would joy move as a line? How would peace fall as a stroke?

Process:
Pick up whatever art tools you haveβ€”crayons, pencils, or even just a simple sheet of paper. Choose colors that feel right in the moment. Create random strokes, add shading, and let your hand move without overthinking. Draw the first thing that comes to mind, or sketch whatever you see around you. Think about how your emotions might translate into colors, marks, or textures. Most of all, enjoy the moment and let the flow guide your creativity. ✨

I’ve been caught up with both commissioned works and personal activities lately, so I haven’t had much time for my usual practice and exploration sessions.

Now that it’s raining outside, I didn’t feel like painting in watercolor (or maybe just too lazy to set up my desk πŸ˜…), so I picked up a pen and my sketchbook instead.

We started this commission project back in January 2025, and yesterday, the series β€˜The Road to Quiet Days’ finally arrived at its new home.

As an artist, it’s always my joy to create something meaningful for my clients; pieces not made in haste, but with sincerity and passion. Being fully present in the process allows every stroke and detail to carry a piece of that moment, so when the artwork is done, it speaks not just of beauty, but of the quiet story that lies within.
