Have you heard of the saying "targeting everyone results to targeting nobody"?
Kung hindi pa, para sa'yo ito; kung oo naman, basahin mo pa rin baka may mapulot kang bago. 😁

Napag-usapan natin before kung ano yung customer avatar - they are the representation of your ideal customers. Sila yung mga tao na gusto mong bumili ng products mo or mag-avail ng services mo.

So Ars, bakit nga importante ang customer avatar?
Kapag nakuha mo na yung important details like age, gender, income, interests, challenges, and a lot more mas madali mo na silang maiintindihan. The more you figure them out, the better you’ll understand WHY your ideal customer wants your product or service. Kung paano mo sila kausapin, how to make them buy, what headlines will catch their attention will greatly depend sa details ng customer avatar. Yung copy, creatives and marketing will be tailor fit for them, para magresonate sa kanila yung marketing materials mo. Yung mga ginagawang strategies kahit gaano pa kaganda yan, kapag hindi siya relevant sa tao hindi niya pag-aaksayahan ng panahong tingnan o basahin yung message mo.

Example ang niche natin is real estate and ang nasa listings mo ay farm land, tapos you are targeting Gen Z and Millennials working in the city. Do you think they would find it relevant kung bentahan mo sila ng farm land? Pwedeng meron pa rin naman bumili, let’s say for investment purposes. Pero sino ba usually yung ideal customer ng farm land? Yung mga may existing farm na gustong mag-expand, yung mga malapit na mag-retire at gusto magstay sa province in the future, yung mga gusto ng agri business.

So now na alam mo na yung importance of having customer avatar, will you still go target everyone or will you start making detailed information about your ideal customer/s?

Isa ka bang business owner at madalas mong naitatanong ‘to? Well dapat basahin mo ito. 😁

May kinalaman yan sa customer avatar! Eh, ano nga ba yang customer avatar na yan?

We usually refer to our target audiences as customer avatar, ideal customer, target market or buyer persona.

So, ano nga yun? A customer avatar according to Einstein Marketer is “a detailed profile of your ideal customer. It doesn’t make assumptions or categorize people into groups. The avatar focuses on one person and outlines everything about them. It goes into much greater depth than a regular marketing persona, providing marketers with many more targeting tools.”

Nose bleed naman yung meaning niyan Ars, wala bang mas simplified?

Sige, simulan muna natin dun sa word na avatar. Kung nakapaglaro ka na ng RPG games, ito yung character na nilalaro mo. Pinipili mo yung name, gender, skin tone, hair color, sa iba pati skills and stats ng main character mo. Ganun din yun sa customer avatar pero this time we will describe kung ano yung age, gender, occupation, marital status and other important details na related sa target audience mo.

Sample: Let’s say ang niche natin is real estate and we are focusing on projects na condominiums. Isipin natin sino ba usually yung bumibili ng condo - yung gusto mag-invest. Sino usually yung gusto mag-invest? Yung mga taong may pera na nakatago lang sa bank. Sino kaya yung mga taong may malaking savings? Mga business owners ba yan or people with high paying jobs and so on and so forth.

Okay Ars alam ko na. Pero pano yan isa lang ba dapat yung customer avatar?

Pwede, pero pwede ka rin magkaron ng multiple client avatar depending sa business or your brand’s nature. Walang magic number kung ilan dapat yung customer avatar.
