Mye Journey to the Freelancing World

Hi, welcome to Social Media Marketing Services. I am Mylene Narciso Urriza and it’s a pleasure to meet you!

Sometime in 2015, I got aware about work-at-home jobs. It stirred curiosity in me as I did a little browsing on it. I thought having substantial working experiences in academic institutions, private sector, and government agency, I am already equipped. Somewhat yes, but no. It is a totally different environment that I have to get familiarized with. Plus, the technology requirements scared me a little which put this endeavor on hold. Just for a while.

Alas! This thing in work-from-home jobs is such a growing industry! It grows so fast and so diverse that I lost track on it.

Good thing I am blessed to be part of the scholarship program of the Municipality of Nagcarlan (Laguna, Philippines) and in partnership with the Department of Information & Communications Technology (DICT). It enlightened me. It gave me a new perspective to push through a once shelved dream and pave my path towards its opportunities. Currently, I am still under training and yet offers are already pouring!
