From the heart of Marilao, Bulacan, a young artist speaks truth through her canvas. Honey Evasco, only 22, unveiled her striking creation: “Ang Sinungaling ay Asawa ng Magnanakaw.”

Her work is not just art, it is a mirror held up to society, a reminder of the painful realities many would rather ignore. For corruption does not walk alone. It is never an isolated act, never a solitary sin. It is arm in arm with deception, its loyal and dangerous companion.

The thief takes, but the liar hides the theft. The pockets may be emptied by corruption, but the conscience is poisoned by deceit. The crime is not only in the stolen wealth but in the stolen truth, in the silence forced upon a people who are denied clarity, honesty, and justice.

Evasco’s art is a bold statement, a call to awaken. It challenges viewers not just to admire the brushstrokes, but to confront the uncomfortable truth hidden within them, that when lies protect thieves, the whole nation pays the price.
