WHY IS ILLUSTRATING BOOKS SO EXPENSIVE?
1. Time and Energy
Illustrators devote most of their time and energy making your script visually alive. A genuine Illustrator will make sure they execute your vision and reach to your standards so each second is valuable. A single page that is fully detailed may take up to 6-8hrs so if you reflect on it, it takes a day or more just to finish one! As much as they enjoy creating these artworks, it is also considered as their career. This is their way of living just like any other professionals.
2. They are Professionals
As mentioned above, Illustrators are also professionals. They diagnose and help you with your needs just like lawyers and doctors. Illustrations are also not just for aesthetics but a way to effectively attract your audience. Did you know that everything you see on an illustration have meaning to it? Illustrators pick the right colors, composition, scenery and many other things to make the story more compelling and understandable. It is their service to give you and your readers a wonderful experience.
3. They are valuable
Illustrations are just as valuable as the words written, especially for Children's books. Without them, kids won't really envision what the story tells. So value your illustrator because they're you're partners in reaching your dreams too!
