We have gathered some photographers in the Metro to let you see Escolta in a different light and give it a new angle through your own lenses.

FROM PLACES TO PAGES
A travel writing workshop

Showcase the world through your words. Traverse the road of travel writing by bringing with you a storyteller’s perspective. This workshop is designed to view the writing of travel essays and blogs as a craft under the genre of Creative Non-Fiction.

Together with Ara Jenika Vinzon and Danna Peña, let's spend an afternoon excursion on travel writing at The Other Room, February 16 (holiday), 1-4pm!

Workshop fee: Php1750 with lecture materials, notepad, pen and drinks
** Portion of the proceeds will go to Date a Kid 2018

DATE A KID 2018 is happening on February 24 (Saturday) at Gentle Hands, Quezon City and we are inviting everyone to go on a play date with the kids and bring sunshine to each one of them!

For this year, our beneficiary is Gentle Hands, Inc. It is a social welfare home that provides children at risk with medical, social and educational support. With healing and hope, the orphanage currently has 102 children under their care and continues to rescue kids from physical danger, severe illness, malnutrition, abandonment, or situations of poverty or uncaring family environment.

Our community at Date a Kid, together with Gentle Hands orphanage, is working towards this mission of cultivating creative and healing spaces for children, and every year, we strive to reach out and help them in our own little ways, in however way we can.

CREATIVITY FLOW

Each one of us is an innate artist and to create is in our truest essence. It is up to us on how we seek for creative power and let ourselves immerse in our own artistic expression. Our mind is our mental museum where we internally create a gallery of visuals, a melody, a poem, a story — a piece of Art. In that specific moment when we enter our mental state of art, we dip our brush into the light, pin our words into a constellation and arrange our melody into a cellular rhythm. We dive into a creative space and experience an artistic process - a deep self-exploration. But have you ever wondered where does creativity come from?

LUCES, in partnership with UP CHE BS Interior Design Class of 2018, is holding a series of yoga + meditative art workshops this coming October 21 at WhiteSpace Studio, Quezon City.

In this workshop, we travel towards our intuition and let our inner creativity make its own strokes of art and stories through you.

We hope you can join us in a series of art jam. It's yoga + art for a cause! We're collaborating with an org of young and passionate UP Interior Design students for the renovation of a PWD youth shelter, Bahay Biyaya, in support of their project "Tuloy".

Here, we tiptoe.
Here, we dip our hands into the waters.
Here, we float, trusting the waves and pushing our bodies towards a bigger cradle.

Today, Ophelia turns three. The streams of our palms are interconnected. What we found here is a place reminiscent of a mother's arms- the greatest cradle of all.
