IN DEFENSE OF ROBREDO
In this time of the corona, I decided to take a
step back from politics, to take some time to
reflect on other matters such as business
and life. But my sabbatical was cut short.
(bummer)
I was looking for updates about the virus
when i chanced upon a young lady's post.
She shared a RIDICULOUS meme about Leni,
and was viciously saying unsavory words
against her. She called Leni bobo as she
dissected the context of that meme. Now her
page would show that she was educated,
she even talks about God, and basing from
her other posts, I could deduce that she is
intelligent. But then the moment she shared
that meme, her intelligence just switched
off. In place of such was this palpable hatred
which came out from every curse she said.
It was as if you could see red sulfurous
smoke coming out from my screen.
Looking at this, we all could ask: WHY DO
DDS PEOPLE HATE HER SO MUCH? They
hate her so much that they are willing to
suspend common sense when it comes Leni.
It is like their moral compass readily shuts
down whenever Leni is brought up. It was
as if anything OBVIOUSLY ridiculous,
ABSOLUTELY false, ULTIMATELY obnoxious,
is readily believed if it is in reference to
Leni.
Now If you are to look at the common rage,
you could actually come up with three
reasons.
1. FAKE VP: The DDS claim that she cheated
in the elections. Well did she? Let me discuss
logic with you.
Every aspect and branch of the government
is now held by Du30 at the noose. Even the
SC decisions have been favorable towards
him. And Comelec commissioners have been
identified as pro du30. Given this vast
influence and control, you would think that
by now BBM would be VP. What is stopping
them? 200,000 votes, that is what's stopping
them. Even they could not be that brazen.
Recount was concluded, she won by an
extra 15K votes. So to say she cheated is a
TOTAL FALSEHOOD. Newsflash, there is no
dilawan in power. The LP has now been
reduced as a powerless party, as majority
have even jumped ship towards PDP. So
there is no dilawan politicians sabotaging
the recount. No dilawan judges controlling
the shots. The only reason why Leni
remains to be VP is because THAT IS THE
TRUTH.
So accept this truth: SHE IS THE VP.
2. EPAL: You ask why the need media to
cover her charitable works? Why the tarps
where her official OVP Seal and her name
was placed alongside it.
The answer is your rant: "ANO NA BA ANG
NAGAWA NI LENI LUGAW PARA SA BANSA.”
You have been harping this rant for the
longest time, and now that she has proof of
output and real tangibles, you call her epal.
And mind you, it is media that follow her
because she is the SECOND HIGHEST
OFFICIAL IN THE LAND. This makes her
newsworthy. As to the tarp found on the
buses, of course when you make a promise
(like the free bus ride), you put a marker
from which people can identify where the
promised deliverables are. So she has to put
the official seal of the VP. But why include
here name? Of course. Other people might
claim it as theirs, an example would be
supporters of the REAL FAKE VP.
So let her be. Or if you would pursue this
argument, how would you assess B**g Go's
epalicious acts then?
3. PRESSCON NG PRESSCON, REKLAMO NG
REKLAMO:
Du30 has been giving presscons on a
regular basis. And during each event all we
would hear are kill kill kill, patayin, drugas,
putang inas, oligarchs, and all sweeping
generalizations and irresponsible
statements that ever existed. Did you ever
complain? No you laughed.
VP Leni gives presson because it is her right
to do so, as the VP. And she uses the
platform to raise objective criticisms,
CALLING OUT THE GOVERNMENT TO
DELIVER ON ITS PROMISE.
Let me ask you, what would be more
favorable to you and the nation? An old
man ranting all his farts and his hubris,
threatening everybody without basis, and
making false claims without deeper study?
Or somebody who reminds government
what it is supposed to do. Answer now!
Because deep inside you know objective
correction is healthier than a vile rant.
So let her be with her presscon. Focus
instead on du30s INSPIRING speeches.
Now in giving insights about the rants
against Leni, let me say I do not speak in her
behalf. I do not know her personally. But I
have seen her up close and seen her
interact with others, and she is a gracious
soft spoken person, sincere and
nonconfrontational.
“Plastic sya”. You would say.
Really? How do you know? Do you know
her personally? Or is your hate talking.
“Paano mo rin masasabi di sya plastic”
I wouldn’t. We all wouldn’t. But goodness
will always leave a trail that would be
consistent and sustained – while hypocrisy
will always be short term and for show, like
a HEALTH CENTER that is nowhere to be
found in this HEALTH CRISIS.
One such cookie trail revealing character is
how the children were raised. In the case of
Leni, her children were raised up to be
respectful and smart. Look at how they
interact and deal with people. All of them.
You would know they were raised by great
parents. It’s not of course a conclusion
written in stone, but many have seen the
correlation between how the children were
raised with the parents' values.
Another cookie crumb is how one impacts
peoples lives. In the case of Leni, she has
impacted thousands, with a meager budget
of 700M (3.5% of Du30s office budget). She
has created a foundation that has been
uplifting the lives of thousands (Imagine the
impact would be at the millions given a
bigger budget). She has donated classrooms,
give scholarships, and empowered women
in livelihood programs. Many of these good
works are under the radar of media, so
clearly there is no propaganda here.
So to all DDS out there, before you go on
hating Leni ask yourself, is your hate
justified. Have you spent enough time to
know about her platforms and programs?
Have you seen her misbehave in public
cursing and shouting profanities? Have you
seen her up close and witness how she has
inspired her
audiences whenever she gives a talk? Have
you seen any real bobo statements that she
actually uttered in full context?
Have you ever seen her slack during crisis?
If no is the answer to all, then you are a fool
for hating somebody without due diligence.
If your hate is based on memes, you are an
even bigger fool.
But if you share that meme because, YOU
ARE THE BIGGEST FOOL.
In promoting fake memes, you not only
propagate evil, you are advancing the
interests of the people behind it. And if the
people behind fake memes would resort to
evil to get what they want, imagine what
bigger evil they would do once they do get
what they want.
Leni will never resort to evil to achieve a
goal.
You will not also see her also in sardines
cans, rubber shoes, healthcards, shirts,
bags, lunchboxes, watches, caps, etc.
You will not see her cavorting with the NPA,
giving them gifts just to get their votes and
good graces.
But you will see her giveaway lugaw and
pandesal…and that is better than feeding
my newsfeed with fake memes.
SO STOP BASHING THE REAL VP!
