Lately, Iโve been seeing a lot of ads that feel likeโฆ ๐๐๐๐โ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐.
Some of the ads that I've seen:
- International ads where the video is in Spanish, but the caption is in English โ and Iโm in the Philippines (soโฆ was the market research done properly? ๐ค)
- Ads that lead to a website with no pixel or proper tracking (you canโt improve what you canโt measure)
- Landing pages that are just a video โ no button, no CTA (so whatโs the next step?)
- Ads with only one creative variation running (yes, I check the Ads Library ๐
)
Iโm not bashing anyone.
These are just patterns Iโve been seeing lately โ and honestly, theyโre all fixable.
But thatโs not really what I want to talk about.
What Iโve been thinking about is ๐๐๐ people still run ads even when things donโt look fully ready.
One possible reason: ๐๐๐ญ๐.
Sometimes, you run ads not to scale โ but to lอeอaอrอnอ อqอuอiอcอkอlอyอ.
For example:
You have a product.
You want to know if thereโs demand.
You donโt want to spend months guessing.
So you allocate a test budget โ say โฑ15Kโโฑ20K or $300 - $500.
If you get sales and ROI, thereโs demand.
If you donโt, itโs still data. At least you know.
That part makes sense.
But ๐ก๐๐ซ๐โ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ญ.
If:
your landing page isnโt optimized
you donโt have proper tracking
or thereโs no clear next step for the user
Then youโre not really testing the offer โ
youโre testing ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.
And those are two very different things.
Running ads isnโt just about launching campaigns.
Itโs about making sure the entire path makes sense โ and if your goal is to get data, make sure that your tracking is set up properly too.

Choose one. Clarity converts.
