Pilot AI tutoring in one subject with a clear framework. Measure whether students actually understand more, not just whether they produce more output. Let evidence, not fear, guide the next step.
WHY IT MATTERS
The risk is not that students use AI. It is that schools avoid the question until a scandal forces it. Institutions that write clear, fair rules , when AI is allowed, how to cite it, how to use it to learn rather than bypass learning , get the benefit without the backlash. The ones that ban it outright mostly push the behavior underground.
THE PHILIPPINE ANGLE
Many Philippine learners lack one-on-one support at home. AI tutoring, used well, can widen access, but only inside a policy that keeps learning honest. The policy gap is the real risk.
