As we all know, the last few days of December were tough for many of us. The weight of the year felt heavy and it seemed like it would never end. January felt like a year but we made through the tensions and even experienced some positive twists.

Life as a freelancer isn't for everyone, but it's definitely the right choice for me. However, I have had to make a few sacrifices, including going without health insurance, etc.

Throughout my freelance journey, I've learned some valuable lessons which have really helped me get through some of the tough times, and they're lessons that I hope can help you too (even if you don't consider yourself a freelancer).

1. It can be mentally draining. Keep up your motivation!

2. You can work from anywhere with an internet connection and a laptop, but it's important to have a comfortable environment so you don't get distracted.

3. Don't go into it expecting to get rich quickโ€”it's not going to happen. Learn to save for the rainy days.

4. Be prepared to be rejected. Remember, rejection is not personal; it's simply a sign that your idea hasn't found the right fit yet.

5. Stay flexible and open-minded, but don't compromise on your values!

6. Sometimes, you'll have to deal with a client who is just so terrible that you think about quitting freelancing forever

Finally, what I've learned is that freelancing presents a whole host of new challengesโ€”but it also has a lot of advantages too. The freedom and the flexibility really have their own special rewards in addition to the financial ones, and I can't imagine ever going back to the office.

I'm not sure what the future holds, but if this is how freelance life is going to be, it may turn out to be quite alright after all.

In the law of physics, the aerodynamic rule says the width of wings is too small to keep her massive body in flight, but the bee doesn't know, knows nothing about physics or its logic and still flies.

This is something we can all do, fly and win at any time before any difficulties and under any circumstances despite what they say.

Bumblebees, regardless of the size of wings, fly and enjoy life.

Hi Sidekicks,

Thank you so much for visiting my page. My name is Clarice Cagay. I am from Lala, Lanao Del Norte but is now staying in Mandaue Cebu. My niche is Marketing and Sales focusing in Social Media Management. My first job was as a security officer and have managed to moved to the BPO industry for some years, then moved to Hanoi, Vietnam to teach, and then to Software Development - Sales, and is now still trying to improve my skills set through free stuffs.
