URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It is a set of characters that allows you to tell your web browser how to find the content on a web page. It is used to identify the location of a resource on the Internet. For example, when you type in 💻

The answer is simple: it depends on what you want to do with your website.🌍
A social media platform is like a lot of the things you could find on the internet: it's just there. If you're looking for someplace to get your news, have a conversation with friends, or post pictures from your travels, then social media platforms are probably going to be what you're looking for.
