We believe you had a heavy metal Easter time, because today we're back with our Brazilian metal crusade. This week, we're heading north to the wild state of Amazonas. The whole state has a lower population than São Paulo, but on the extreme music scene, it absolutely doesn't matter. Hop on this journey with us, because we've discovered three of the most popular metal bands from the largest Brazilian state.

Our winner is an extreme symphonic metal band, Divine Symphony. The guys are pretty silent for a few years, but their music still stays in memory and keeps fans engaged.

Number two, Flávio proves that real talent still beats scene maturity. Just a few tracks released by a Brazilian Navy officer are enough to expect a promising career in the future. Can't wait for a full album!

And the third place goes to a pretty fresh death/black metal act - Necrovisceral. Definitely, the two singles released earlier this year allowed them to secure a place in our ranking. Btw, listening to the Rotting Christ track made our Easter experience even better!

The bottom line, this ranking shows that the metal scene in Amazonas is still fresh, growing, and promising. If you haven't listened to any of these bands before, today is the day to fix it!

Artist: Lesson in Violence
Release Title: No Need for Death
Release Date: March 2024
Genre: Thrash metal
Country: Germany

This Monday, banger kiddos are going to school to attend the true Lesson in Violence.
Today's topic: A traditional smashing thrash metal from Schweinfurt.
It's always great to start the week by discovering new bands that don't attract thousands of listeners every day. And this Monday just perfectly lands to throwback to March 2024, when the guys from Lesson in Violence released their last full album - No Need for Death.
Eleven tracks packed into 39 minutes make for a dense experience, and that's how it is. Florian gives no time to stop headbanging, and Gareth doesn't let the limbs rest.
It's smashin', it's trashin', and brings us a piece of joy while it's still cold and dark outside. Then, we wish you a violent metal week, tschüss!

The past several days have been pretty busy, but we're still doing our best on social media. And because it's Tuesday, we continue our Brazilian metal journey.

This week we're moving from Paraná to the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul. Hail to headbangers in Campo Grande!

We've made a quick overview of the local heavy music scene and brought you our ranking of the most popular metal bands based in the city.

Let's start with heavy metal, because our number one is Shadows Legacy. Twenty years on the stage, two full albums, and a really shy presence on social media. Guys, what are your plans for this year?

Number two means what we love the most - black metal. In Campo Grande, Mørkalv rules the scene. Keep going guys, we believe you have much more to offer to the Brazilian BM world!

We close our ranking with the proper twist - a death metal band, God of Carnage. Maybe the guys have released just one full album, but that's enough to get recognition, get bookings, and get fans. Augusto, can't wait for your new recordings!

That's all for now, but hopefully, we'll dig deeper into Mato Grosso do Sul soon!

After a short break, we're back on our Curitiba path. This week, finally, we're going as heavy as it deserves.

Ladies and gentlemen, this Tuesday, we are pleased to feature the top 3 heavy metal bands from the capital of the state of Parana!

Let's take a closer look then.
The most popular band, of course, is Icon of Sin. The essence of old school heavy metal with a fresh twist. Just a few years on the stage, only two albums released, but it's totally enough to reach more than 1 million streams and thousands of followers on social media. Talent, just pure talent, and heavy metal we need.

The second place goes to Wild Witch. Definitely, the last album, released last year, helped them to achieve this place. Personally, we strongly believe that Felipe and the band have much more to offer in their artistry. Can't wait for the next, not limited CD!

And finally, the third place belongs to the most established band among these three - Axecuter. Daniel supposedly has more than 30 years on stage, and fu***ng deserves the place he's in right now. C'mon, it's time for a new album soon!

Curitiba, this week we want to feel doomed in the city. That sounds challenging since Coritiba is back in Série A, but we can always count on the local metal scene!

We're happy to present to you the top 3 doom metal bands in the last two years, anchored in the city.

The first place belongs to Eternal Sorrow - 30 years on the stage is a deadweight lift appreciated by Brazilian metalheads.

In second place, guys from Doomsday Ceremony, "only" 26 years playing doom, and well deserved spot in this ranking

The ranking is wrapped by a fresh view in a local scene - Fohatt. Definitely the youngest group in the ranking, but their fresh interpretation allowed them to gain much more attention abroad than locally. Great job, we'll watch your career with great interest.

Besides the ranking, guys from Espectro are also worth mentioning as a promising band in this genre.

Artist: Toxikull
Release Title: Under the Southern Light
Release Date: February 2024
Genre: Heavy metal
Country: Portugal

Hey guys, do you need some heavy metal? Tonight, we cannot stand to feature just one band. Among all the anniversaries, the Portuguese heavy metal defenders must be mentioned.

Ladies and gentlemen, two years ago, Alex and the band dropped their last album, Under the Southern Light. The title perfectly fits this release's vibes - a sunny, southern heavy metal without pretense.

Definitely, this is an album you want to listen to while driving your car, no matter how long the way may be. Ten tracks, forty minutes, infinite fun. This CD is made for entertainment, not deep thoughts about a sense of life, a Winter darkness, or an upcoming tax return.

Grab it, play it, and have fun, heavy metallers, cheers!

Artist: Cathubodua
Release Title: Interbellum
Release Date: February 2024
Genre: Epic symphonic metal
Country: Belgium/Netherlands

No matter how busy we can be, the Monday metal delivery must be done.

Today, we celebrate plenty of great album releases. And it's finally a great moment to take a look at the Flemish metal scene. Exactly two years ago, an epic six-pack of Cathubodua released their last epic six-pack album, Interbellum.

Just six tracks, but three official music videos drove a lot of attention to this album. Some may say it's because of Sara's beauty; others, because of Robin's six-pack.

But let's dive deeper into the album itself. Just 6 songs, but pretty intense, loaded with a vocal epicness and nitty-gritty violin notes. Honestly, everything here is just greatly combined, creating an experience that symphonic metal fans (like me) want, deserve, and expect!

Overall, we expect Cathubodua will soon join the top tier of European symphonic metal bands, as they deserve to be considered as great as Epica, Sirenia, and others. Just, just maybe better exposure is needed?

Personally, guys, we believe your epic path is long, bright, and fruitful, that's what you fckn' deserve!
