PNP ARRESTS SUSPECT FOR ASSAULT AND ALARM AFTER UNIFIED 911 ALERT
The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., acted promptly to address a violent domestic disturbance reported through the Unified 911 system, a critical public safety service under the Department of the Interior and Local Government led by Secretary Juanito Victor C. Remulla Jr., ensuring the safety of the community and neutralizing potential threats. Officers quickly restrained the suspect and took the necessary actions to protect residents and maintain order.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred at a residence in Purok 1, Barangay Don Tomas Maddela, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya on the night of March 15, 2026. The suspect, a 22-year-old male, reportedly exhibited aggressive behavior while armed with a cutter blade and attempted to attack residents and responding personnel, causing minor injuries to a family member who intervened. The suspect was arrested by personnel from Bayombong Police Station and charged with Direct Assault to a Person in Authority, Physical Injury, and Alarm and Scandal. He was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and brought to the station for proper disposition. Investigation is ongoing.
