IN PHOTOS | The PDRRM Officer, PCOL Danildo B. Tumanda (Ret), under the leadership of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, continued to strengthen and uphold the province’s DRRM initiatives as he carried these into the 4th Quarter PDRRM Council Meeting, where he presented the DRRM agenda at AMOSACC, Capitol, Oroquieta City. The agenda included the realignment of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) under the LDRRMF CY 2025, as well as a resolution authorizing the transfer or grant of cash donations.

Joined by the Provincial Development Council (PDC), Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), and the Misamis Occidental Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MOPADAC), the meeting fostered a unified approach to addressing the province’s priorities. Their combined presence underscored Governor Oaminal’s mission of emphasizing the importance of strong inter-agency coordination to ensure that disaster preparedness, peace and order, development planning, and anti-drug initiatives remain aligned and responsive to the needs of the people of Misamis Occidental.

Tumanda (Ret) attended the One-Day Executive Orientation on Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) organized by the Office of Civil Defense Region 10. The orientation, held at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City, aimed to equip local executives and DRRM officers with updated knowledge, best practices, and strategic approaches in disaster preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery.

Through this training, the PDRRM Office gained valuable insights to further enhance the province’s DRRM programs, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and ensure that Misamis Occidental remains resilient and well-prepared in the face of challenges. PCOL Tumanda’s participation reflects Governor Oaminal’s leadership and commitment to proactive disaster risk management and the safety and welfare of the province’s communities.

IN PHOTOS | The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), under the leadership of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, conducted retrieval operations today involving one Isuzu MU-X that fell on the side of the road at Barangay Pelong, Aloran, Misamis Occidental. The incident occurred last night, and upon receiving the request for assistance, the PDRRMO immediately coordinated with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Aloran to plan and facilitate the retrieval operations.

The operation was led by the PDRRM Officer, PCOL DANILDO B. TUMANDA (Ret.), who supervised the responding team throughout the activity. Through the prompt response and coordinated efforts of all personnel involved, the vehicle was successfully recovered.
