Caritas Manila spun off Caritas Margins in year 2016 for the latter to focus on its mission to establish a social enterprise to market quality products of micro entrepreneurs. Caritas Margins is now distinct non-stock, non-profit organization which markets quality products of micro-entrepreneurs from provinces all over the country such as Cagayan, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur, Tarlac, Antipolo, Angono

, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cainta, Bulacan, Pampanga, Quezon Province, Batangas, Laguna, Albay, Sorsogon, Iloilo, Guimaras, Bacolod, Butuan City, Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, Leyte and Samar. While it promotes the entrepreneurial efforts of its partners toward building better lives for families and communities, Caritas Margins also support the scholarship program of Caritas Manila, the Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP), with the revenues raised from its marketing activities.

With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude, we share the passing of one of Caritas Margins’ pioneering partner-entrepreneurs, Mrs. Socorro De Leon, whom we knew as Tita Cora.

Tita Cora was more than a partner—she was a trailblazer whose dedication, resilience, and unwavering faith helped shape the mission of Caritas Margins in its early years. Through her hard work and commitment, she became an inspiration to many, embodying the spirit of dignity in livelihood and hope for community transformation.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the community she helped build, and the values she so passionately upheld. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived in service to others.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. May she rest in eternal peace.
