Beyond competitions, the program continues to strengthen its training through various best practices and student-centered activities.
โข One of these is the Journalism Upskilling and Mentoring Program (JUMP), a school-based seminar designed to hone and sharpen studentsโ journalism skills through workshops, mentorship, and intensive training.
โข Another initiative is the Journalympics, a competitive training ground that prepares aspiring journalists for District, Division, and even Regional-level competitions while enhancing teamwork and critical thinking.
โข The program also values camaraderie through the Acquaintance Party, which allows student-journalists to build friendships and strengthen connections with one another.
โข Meanwhile, the SPJlympics serves as the programโs own intramurals, giving journalists the opportunity to showcase not only their journalistic skills but also their talents and sportsmanship in various athletic events.
