Then someone tells you:
You should post on social media more.

But when?

If your construction page is still small, I wouldn’t run lead ads first.

I’d start with an awareness campaign so more people can discover your business, see your work, and build trust first.

Then lead ads make more sense.

Running a construction business is already a full-time job.

By the end of the day, creating content is usually the last thing on your mind.

And I get it.

But while you're busy building projects, potential clients are searching online for builders they can trust.

If they don't see your work, they don't know how good you are.

That's why content isn't about posting for the sake of posting.

It's about making sure the quality of your work gets seen by the people looking for it.

Comment "Constructclick" if you want simple content ideas for your construction business.

Many builders do excellent work.

But if people don’t see your projects online, they may never know what you’re capable of.
Showing your work helps people trust your business.

I had a call with a construction business owner recently.

Everything was going well until we talked about when they wanted to start marketing.

He told me,
"We're waiting for one big project before we give the go signal."

So I asked,
"Why wait for that project?"

He said they wanted to maximize the content shoot and make sure the team's time would be worth it.

I understood where he was coming from.

But I shared a different perspective.

I told him,

"We already have enough to start."

You have current projects.
You have completed projects.
You have years of experience that can be turned into educational content.

There's already enough material to begin building your online presence.

But more importantly...

Marketing isn't just about filming videos.
It's about building the system behind it.
While waiting for that one project, we could already be:

* organizing your content workflow
* setting up your social media
* building your landing page
* preparing your automation
* creating your first content library
* understanding how your team works together

Because every new client goes through an adjustment period.

Our team learns your business.
Your team learns our process.
We refine communication.
We build a workflow that fits your company.

I'd rather go through that adjustment now using your current and completed projects...
than during the biggest project you're excited to showcase.

That way, when the project finally starts, we're not learning anymore.

We're simply executing.

One thing I've learned in business is this:

Sometimes we're not waiting for the right opportunity.
We're waiting because we're overthinking.

And overthinking often delays progress more than a lack of resources ever will.

Start building the system first.
The opportunities will come.

A drone is more than just a cool camera.

When used properly, it helps showcase the scale, layout, and overall quality of your finished project in a way ground shots can't.

Here are some of the drone shots I recommend capturing on every completed project:

Establishing shot
Orbit shot
Top-down shot
Reveal shot
Push-in shot
Pull-back shot
Tracking shot

Having a shot list also makes every site visit more organized, so you don't miss important angles before leaving.

Save this post for your next project.

Comment "Drone" if you want the checklist shot for your construction business.

If being obsessed with better angles for your client is wrong…

I think that’s on me. 😅
