You may have asked this question when growing your business.

So, is branding just for big businesses?

No.

Even if you’re still starting or you consider yourself a small business, you need it!
Brand identity is the visible element of your brand. It's the name, symbols, colors, fonts, and everything else that represents your business.

It is what helps people distinguish your brand from others.

Your brand is composed of the look, feel, and personality of your product or service. It influences how people think and feels about your company.

With that, a positive brand identity will improve your company's reputation, marketability, and overall success.

A strong brand identity should be able to tell a business story tell company’s story in a way that creates brand awareness, loyalty, and excitement.

To compete in today's global market (especially on social media) businesses must have a distinct brand identity that tells their narrative while also building trust and credibility with their target audience.

Here are some tips on how to increase your online presence😉

☁️ Optimize your website to increase visibility on search engines.

Think like a customer. Whenever you visit a website, you might want to see how fast it loads, how the site is compatible with mobile, and the contact info is properly stated. Apply those on your web page. Aside from fast loading images/ videos/ thumbnails, make sure it is easy to navigate, lead your customers to proper menus. Publish fresh and relevant content that the customer may want to read and see. Lastly, remember to use appropriate keywords on your pages!

☁️ Make your business information clear and easily seen.

Show your business name, city & state (location), contact information (phone number, email address), an overview of your products and services, and operating hours.

☁️ Provide useful content on your pages.

Stand out with your competitors! Write blogs on your site with informative articles on topics that would grab the attention of your audience, this will demonstrate your expertise in the field. Aside from that, even if they won’t purchase your services, for the time being, more visitors to your website can improve your google ranking.

☁️ Invest in social media.

Your business’ online visibility will be judged on how you interact with your audience. Nobody wants to talk to a bot, people want to know that they are talking to a real human behind the screen to let them know that they care for its potential customers. Participate in one or more social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+, etc.) and get your connections to interact with your website.

☁️ Stay in touch with your visitors.

Send them newsletters occasionally. Make them subscribe by offering something of real value in return, an example is a discount coupon for one of your services. Be sure to state how you will use their information, tell them what your newsletter will contain and how often they’ll receive it. 🙌It’s time to use emojis🙌

Did you know that using emojis would help in your engagement? Studies show that you can increase your engagement by 25% compared to messages/posts without emoji, and using an emoji in your Facebook posts can increase shares by 33% and interactions with your post by 57%!

Emojis add emotional context to your content or conversations. I, too, for sure use it as a way to convey what I am feeling when I am talking to my audience.

✔️ Remember to use them the right way! Make use of it in your brand’s social media accounts and keep track of how it affects your engagement. Aside from being creative with it, make sure the emojis you use would translate your message well, make sure they make sense and your audience wouldn’t misinterpret it.😉

⚠️ Keep in mind to not overuse it. Emojis somehow give your brand a personality.. don’t give it too much. Make sure you’re still following your brand’s tone of voice.

Lead Generation is a way how you can attract potential customers/buyers. Read on to get some tips to generate organic leads thru Facebook!

✿ Understand your audience. To do this, create a persona of your ideal customer/client, then, you would know what type of content will they be engaged with. (This is where your marketing plan comes in 😉

✿ Publish contents that would be helpful for your audience and be consistent with your engagement. Need I say more? Keep them hooked on your page by having content that would benefit them. One example would be creating interactive stories, polls, forms, etc.

✿ Create compelling ways to increase your conversion points. Having great and engaging content isn’t enough in selling your products. Make visitors your potential buyers. Some examples of how you can achieve this are: have a strong Call to Action, testimonials or reviews from previous clients/customers, and be easy to connect with!

✿ Never underestimate SEO! When people look for what you offer online they type in specific words.. you want those words on your bio/content/hashtags to keep you on top of their search. Conduct keyword search or make use of tools that would help you with this.

✿ Use effective CTA. Users want an easier Add your website link on your bio or notify them to reach for you on your DMs for faster service.

Let’s talk about Vanity Metrics and Actionable Metrics✿

Vanity Metrics makes you look good but doesn't define your marketing strategy. Social followers are the best example of this. How sure are you that your current followers would buy your products/services? The numbers may look impressive but sometimes this lacks substance and context, which means this doesn’t translate into sales!

Actionable Metrics on the other hand highlight what’s working or not. An example would be your revenue; it is measurable, actionable, and scalable. Actionable metrics are used to make data-driven decisions about budget and optimization. You’ll be able to tie specific actions to observed results which then allows you to get a better understanding of how you can optimize outputs and drive actions to your business

Remember that this is different from business to business.. Defining your metrics is key.
