USE YOUR ILLUSION HIDDEN IMAGE UNCOVERED.
Seeing the young generation wearing shirts with prints from the genre of the '90s gives a nostalgic feel of your younger years.
As often you encounter the phrase, "Batang '90s" (The youth of '90s) on any social media platform featuring the ways we were in that year. Inspired by this, I thought of sharing the experience with a twist by creating a 3D effect. And goes my beginnings in anaglyph art.
While working on one cover artwork from the album "Use your illusion" by "Guns N'Roses", I'm aware of the many intrigues behind it. Back then, my friend would tell me to turn the image upside down to reveal another image of a demon that I'm not convinced seeing. Fast forward to this year with the availability of the internet, why not check again?
Reading some articles even Wikipedia doesn't even mention the demon image, except the intrigues of using a detail from Raphael's painting 'The School of Athens', and the amount of money spent by Axl Rose.
In my opinion, art is an expression of somewhat imagination, and as per the artist, Mark Kostabi. He has given his own.
On the evening of November 12, 2022, while doing my anaglyph version, it incidentally appeared to me after 30 years.
I may have uncovered the illusion behind the artwork, at least in what I have perceived. See it for yourself and experience it in 3D.
