As part of World Environment Day, held last June 5, we look into where the Filipino stands on environmental efforts.

8 out of 10 Filipinos agree that climate change continues to be a serious threat to mankind, echoing the global opinion. However a startling finding is that about the same number (82%) also find that it may be too late to change things.

Kudos to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for organizing the stakeholder consultation for the National Strategy for Financial Education (NSFE), held on 13 May 2026 at the BSP Head Office in Manila.

PSRC was pleased to have some of our employees participate as delegates in this meaningful event, alongside representatives from government agencies, private sector organizations, civil society groups, and development institutions.

The NSFE aims to strengthen the financial health and resilience of Filipinos by promoting financial education across different sectors. As the strategy is targeted for release this year, consultations such as this play an important role in ensuring that the program is responsive, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of Filipino communities.

We are grateful for the opportunity to take part in this important initiative and to contribute to conversations that support better financial well-being for all.
