CREATIVE SPACE presents, "Minding Your Own Busyness: Meditation Practice as a Tool for Mindful Working and Living (and Stress Management)"
The manic world often commands us: “Don’t just sit there; do something!” It is the way of reactivity dressed up as productivity, one foot in the past, the other in the future, completely absent in the present. Placid people (many of them Buddhists) counsel just the opposite: “Don’t just do something; sit there.” They know how rather than being a passive posture, sitting is an activity that could produce skillful thoughts, skillful speech, skillful acts without the violent business of “busyness.”
Facilitator, Randy Bustamante will introduce participants to basic mindfulness as a way of being and its technique of basic sitting meditation that can be practiced daily.
