What paper do you recommend for my artworks? This is one of the common questions we get from our clients.

Papers usually come in various finishes - Glossy, Satin, Matte
As well as different levels of Textured and Smooth surfaces.

Different finishes and the quality of texture are taken into consideration when printing your artworks.

A glossy or satin finish delivers deeper blacks and colors and can increase contrast on your photos.

While matte papers maintain color reproduction with brilliant colors in a way that highlights the characteristics and texture that it provides.

While these are generalizations are generally true, the knowledge of what paper to pair with your image can enhance your artworks further.

Our goal is always to help you choose the right paper to further enhance your printed artworks.

'Pride and Prejudice' by

A 36x36 image printed on archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag®. The work was later finished with Oil Pastel (see last image).

"Perception shapes identity, how we see ourselves, and how the world decides to see us.

In Pride and Prejudice, I explore the fragile intersection of identity, gender, and societal perception. The figure emerges from water in a moment suspended between exposure and concealment, a metaphor for the struggle of existing within, or beyond, the labels imposed by others. The act of surfacing becomes both defiance and liberation.

The photograph’s reflective surface and the tactile intervention of oil pastel speak to dualities: softness and strength, visibility and erasure, truth and distortion. The texture disrupts the smoothness of the image, mirroring the way identity is often disrupted by stigma and bias.

Through this work, I invite the viewer to confront their own perceptions of beauty, of gender, of self, of love, and to consider how these perceptions are shaped by prejudice. Pride and Prejudice ultimately questions what it means to be seen, and what it means to truly see."
