The EDSA People Power Revolution of 1986 united people from all walks of life, demanding an end to a Marcos regime built on corruption, crony capitalism, and human rights abuses.

As citizens of this country, we must challenge the selfish attempts to distort the significance of the People Power Revolution—especially by those who once drove us to the streets of EDSA—through any means, in any venue, and with unwavering resolve.

We do this in honor of the brave men and women who stood their ground during the EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986—ordinary citizens, activists, religious leaders, soldiers, students, and countless others who risked their lives to reclaim our democracy. Their courage, unity, and unwavering spirit overthrew a dictatorship and restored the freedom we enjoy today. It is our duty to safeguard the truth of their struggle and ensure that their sacrifices are never forgotten.

Historical distortion will not prevail today.
