Gotta get that buzz ⚡

As if Baguio's not cold enough, the need for a cold caffeine fix was much stronger.

Chambee's Caramel Macchiato Frappe with 2 extra shots of espresso just hit the right spots while walking at night around Baguio — the chill of the Baguio air, the freezing frappe, and the buzz from the extra espresso shots made the night even better especially if you're planning on having a long night.

Would we recommend it? Yeah. The drink was not drowned in sugar and I believe even without the two extra shots, you'd probably get a good taste of the coffee.

🎶 The cold never bothered me anyway 🎶

Frozen yoghurt with dragonfruit and dark chocolate to cancel out the sourness is our go-to mix for sensitive tummies

Can't help but indulge ourselves when this sweet treat is just around the corner ✨

PAIK'S COFFEE honest review

We tried the Caramel Macchiato at their Tagaytay Branch and it's a solid 7/10

Even with the extra shot of espresso, it was too sweet. It's not the best but certainly not the worst for its price range.

It's a simple caffeine fix especially when the line for a late night Starbucks would take an hour (at least) in Tagaytay.

Would we recommend it? Yeah, we probably would

Would we try again? Maybe. They have a lot of flavors to choose from

That said, it did help A LOT driving back home at 2am so the coffee kick was legit

Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice, zero pretentiousness, all flavor

Originally from Singapore and being awarded a "Bib Gourmand" by the Michellin Guide really sets the standard of food we expected. And without a doubt, we couldn't wait for our next visit.

We tried their best-selling Hainanese Chicken and Roasted Chicken. For the sides, we got their Fried Tofu and Century Egg salad. For the drinks, we ordered the ripe mango shake.

The servings were simple. No over-the-top plating, no gimmicks, it was just served as we ordered (like literally lightning quick serving)

The Hainanese Chicken and Roasted Chicken were both juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Every flavor was just right and the umami left us wanting for more. If we were to match them one-on-one, it's the Hainanese Chicken all day.

The sides were not forgotten as well. The rich umami-filled Century Egg salad with fried spicy garlic and ginger coats your mouth with so much flavor that you're just hungry for more. The Fried Tofu was just as amazing with a crispy crust as a soft tofu interior coated with a sweet and spicy sauce that just blends everything so well.

The drinks we had, the cold ripe mango shake did not miss as well. Real ripe mangoes— all sweet, no sourness (but I guess it's also because of the season). It's the perfect sweet and refreshing drink to pair with the flavor-packed meal.

Also, we don't know if it's an all-the-time thing but everything from ordering to serving to payment were all lightning quick. The only waiting time was deciding the sides. That's surely a plus for us.

All in all, we simply cannot wait to go back again.

Crafting our own blend of perfume at Fullora Charm

We love perfumes. Sometimes, it's not just about smelling good, it's about expressing onesself through smell. Fragrances can invoke many different emotions and personalities. Sometimes, even a memory.

The notes that make a perfume is something that intrigued us. Like food, how can you take certain notes to make a certain dish? Here, we got to try various fragrance oils for different fragrance notes. From musky, to woody, to floral, to citrussy, and to green notes, we got to try them and even pure oils from different well known perfumes.

As a lover of perfume, this is certainly worth the experience and would definitely try again soon.

Would you like to make your own perfume?

A hearty meal at Dylan Gourmet Café

A modest selection of Mediterranean and Filipino cuisine with a touch of contemporary aesthetics.

The meal started out with a Classic Kale Caesar. It's a salad that would satisfy meat lovers willing to try a salad for a change. Packed with bacon and parmesan shavings balanced out with the sweet and sour cherry tomatoes, it's worth a try but may come as a surprise that it's as heavy as a meal of its own.

Now, for the pasta. We ordered the Baked Rigatoni Pasta and the best selling Pork Belly Carbonara. Honestly I was expecting more of a spicy kick from the Baked Rigatoni Pasta because of the arrabiata sauce but its mildness made us appreciate the wagyu meatballs — juicy, tender, and packed with flavor.

The Pork Belly Carbonara is creamy and flavorful but slight concern on the pork belly which was a bit tough. It was delicious, yes, but would appreciate it better in bite sized pieces so it would be appreciated better eaten together with the carbonara.

The drinks we got were the Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie and the Dark Choco Sponge Milkshake. The strawberry smoothie was indeed a delight, a sweet treat indeed with sweet sliced strawberries.

The dark choco milkshake was also enjoyable that reminds us of the hot tablea chocolate drinks topped with chocolate ice cream. The sponge cake stuck to the glass though kept falling. It's not a drink that you can set aside. You'd have everything falling to the table.

After finishing our drinks, we became full and brought the Eclairs home. The eclaires were creamy and sweet and would've been better if we also got their coffee.

With all that said, if you're in the area, you might as well give Dylan Gourmet Café a try.

What's your preferred cafe?

🔥🔥 BEAT the HEAT with Happy Lemon 🔥🔥

In need to cool ourselves down, it was a no brainer to go for some Milk Tea.

Whether it's the full taste of roasted tea from the Roasted Milk Tea with Oreo and Puff Cream or the creamy Matcha Latte with Rock Salt and Cheese, Happy Lemon was no doubt a good choice.

What's your choice to cool down under this intense heat?

A warm, hearty Batangas Lomi at Kwatogs

One of the famous go to meal in Lipa, Batangas is Batangas Lomi; meaty, starchy, sticky, and overloaded with crunchy and fried toppings.

Staying in Lipa, Batangas made us crave a late night snack. So we dressed up, picked up the car keys, and drove off and that led us to a "lomihan" named Kwatogs.

It's not unusual to be overwhelmed by the crazy toppings when first trying Batangas Lomi and we've tried quite a lot and this became one of our favorite place to go to for Batangas Lomi. The sauce isn't salty which is balanced by the salty toppings. One thing's for sure, despite its size, we managed to finish each of our bowl and went back to our hotel full and satisfied.

So, where's your favorite lomihan?

Non-Greasy and Value for Money Burgers at POUND

Pound has good burgers; and when you wanna have more flavors for the price of one, they also have good sliders of almost every burger choice they have. We've tried the Pound, the Backyard, the Amsterdam, and the Secret — and all of which really left us wanting for more.

Pretty much every order we got was served with almost no grease (which our fingers were very much thankful of), from the fries, to the burgers, to the sliders, and our favorite - the onion rings.

However, presentation isn't their strong suit. The vibe of the place does not match the dish that's served. But then again, it's the food that matters most.

the Caesar Salad may shock those who are not used to the classic recipe but seeing as how it remained nearly faithful to the classic was a delight.

What turned us down though were the wings and the roast beef that kinda lacked a lot of flavor but maybe the wing flavor we ordered weren't their best.

All that being said, we might go back for a burger or two next time 👌🏻
