📸 Photo Guidelines
To get the best possible print quality and avoid delays, please follow these simple guidelines when taking and sending your photo:
🔴 DOs (What to do):
✅ Do find good lighting: Face a window or a bright light source directly so your face is evenly lit with no harsh shadows.
✅ Do use a plain background:Stand against a solid, light-colored wall (preferably white or off-white) if possible.
✅ Do keep the camera at eye level: Have someone else take the photo, or set a timer at eye level. Look straight into the lens.
✅ Do show your ears and eyebrows: Keep your hair neatly tucked behind your ears and off your forehead.
✅ Do maintain a neutral expression:Smile naturally or maintain a formal, pleasant neutral face.
✅ Do send the photo as a "Document": If sending via messaging apps (like Viber, Messenger, or WhatsApp), send the image as an uncompressed file or document so the app doesn't lower the image quality.
🔴 DON'Ts (What to avoid):
🚫 Don't wear filters or heavy digital makeup: Avoid beauty camera apps, filters, or stickers. The photo needs to match your actual appearance.
🚫 Don't wear uniforms with insignias or caps: Unless required for a specific institutional ID, avoid hats, beanies, or clothing with distracting logos.
🚫 Don't wear eyeglasses with glare:If you wear glasses daily, ensure there is no reflection hiding your eyes, or temporarily remove them for the shot.
🚫 Don't crop the photo yourself: Leave plenty of space around your shoulders and above your head. It is much easier to crop it down to a 2x2 or 1x1 frame during layout than to fix a photo that is cut too close.
🚫 Don't send blurry or pixelated screenshots Avoid sending screenshots of existing physical photos or older digital pictures. A fresh, clear shot from your phone camera works best.
