FEBRUARY 18, 2026 β A TRULY REMARKABLE COINCIDENCE OF FAITH!
Today, millions of Muslims around the world begin Ramadan β the sacred month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and reaching out to those in need.
And on this very same day, Christians mark Ash Wednesday, starting the Lenten season of penance, fasting, and drawing closer to their faith.
While our traditions are distinct, this rare alignment highlights the beautiful shared values that connect us all: devotion, self-discipline, kindness to others, and a desire for spiritual growth.
In the Philippines, some Muslim communities start Ramadan today, while others begin tomorrow (February 19) based on moon sightings. Orthodox Christians will observe Ash Wednesday on February 25 β but the heart of reflection remains the same across all these observances.
Letβs take this moment to celebrate our diversity and stand in interfaith solidarity. May everyone observing these holy seasons be filled with peace, strength, and renewed purpose. π
