Ending BFCM with a BANG!
Ugh! Finally! November is over!
It has been a crazy month for my clients and me.
But, it was definitely worth it. After weeks of planning and countless hours of testing, we’ve finally achieved our email marketing goals.
One of our clients recently hit $300,000 while our other client made $1,000,000! And all of these happened during the month of November.
Now, here are some of the things we did that helped our strategy work:
#1: Create a special offer
BFCM is a special season. This means you need to create a special, yet irresistible offer that will make your audience click the buy button in a heartbeat. Take advantage of this season and double down on your best-sellers by giving away HUGE discount offers.
#2: Tease your audience
Tease your audience with teaser emails even before the Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale week starts. Just like how a movie trailer works, you need to send emails that will get your list excited for the upcoming sale.
#3: Segment your list
Segmenting your audience is something you should be doing on a regular basis. But, it’s especially important during BFCM to ensure you can maximize your potential revenue. Segregate your subscribers that are hot and likely to buy from those that are cold or unlikely to buy.
#4: Prioritize VIPs
VIPs are those people that paid you hundreds or maybe even thousands of dollars since they’ve heard all about your business. They’ll probably keep on buying from you if they had an amazing time with your brand and your products. Make sure you prioritize them by giving them an incentive like early-bird access to your BFCM offer. After all, they deserve this special treatment.
#5: Break Some Rules
Some rules were meant to be broken, especially during BFCM. One of these is the famous rule of don’t send any emails to unengaged email subscribers. BFCM is the perfect time to turn the tables on these people. You’ll need to change the way you speak to these subscribers in order to win them back. Treat them like they’re new to your brand and unaware of what you do or sell.
