21 Tools for Graphic Designs You Can’t Live Without

1. Notebooks
This is a no-brainer. No creative is ever without a notebook at home or in their bag.
2. Creative Software
You can sketch out a lot of designs and ideas in your notebook, but every designer should consider creative software as a necessary piece of graphic design equipment.
3. Large High Definition Monitor
A large high-end monitor can seem more like a luxury than a necessity.
4. Wacom Tools
No list of tools for graphic designers would be complete without a serious nod to Wacom and its line of digital tablets, styluses and software that have become an industry standard. As far as graphic design hardware is concerned, Wacom is a great fit for designers of all levels. Graphic designers love how well Wacom pens and tablets are integrated with Adobe’s suite of products, including Illustrator.
5. External Hard Drive
Having a reliable external hard drive is a necessity for anybody whose work uses a lot of data or whose work depends on so many external files.
6. Monitor Calibrator
Another piece of graphic design hardware that often goes without mentioning but is such an invaluable tool is a monitor calibrator.

Most of the famous designs globally are famous because of their ‘outstanding concepts’. Many have failed just because of the opposite. Many professionals, students and designers across the world fail to understand the very concept of ‘concept.’ Graphic designers, product designers, architects, planners and artists, the success of their design is mostly governed by their respective concepts.💚

What is a design concept? How to master it?
To begin with one has to understand. What is a ‘design concept’?
Literally, it means ‘an abstract idea’. But for a designer, it is a broad umbrella of steps of how to ‘ideate a design’. It involves research, analysis and thorough understanding of end user.
So how should one start with it?
The start
There is no definite way to start or think of a design concept. But one can look in a particular direction to search for it. Some of those being : defining the problem, research on user and product, study the existing branding, requirements and responses, design brief. You can develop a questionnaire for yourself to get the direction to proceed.

But what makes a strong character? How can we see their design and have an instant feeling of appeal? There’s really no “magic” formula…

At least, not one that would conversely have the magic feel very artificial.

So then how do we create interesting and fun characters? Well, aside from avoiding too many common tropes, I’ve got 7 guidelines to help you with your character creation.

1.Sketch them small at first (thumbnail drawing)

2.Mark the best ones and draw them larger

3.Create variants on your second drawing

4.Think in terms of shape design

5.Write down or mull over the backstory

6.Explore the Character in various other drawings

Art historians often categorize digital art as twofold: object-oriented artworks and process-oriented visuals. In the first scenario, digital technologies are a means to an end, and function as a tool for the creation of traditional objects like paintings, photographs, prints, and sculptures. In the second case, the technology is the end itself, and artists explore the possibilities entailed to the very essence of this new medium. This latter category — often associated with the term “new media” — refers to all computable art that is digitally created, stored and distributed. In other words, while some works rely on digital tools to magnify an already-existing medium, others use digital technology as an intrinsic and indissociably component in the making of the artifact.
