Christine here, and I am the face behind The Inventive Freelancer. I’m a skilled freelancer and general virtual assistant. I'm highly confident in my ability to provide exceptional service in the areas of general virtual administration that includes data entry, transcription, web research, email and calendar handling, data and inventory management, product sourcing and e-commerce account supervisi

on, social media creation, and management, graphic design, and basic video editing. I’m comfortable using different applications and tools such as MSOffice, Google Workspace, Trello, ClickUp, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Filmora, Clockify, Toggl, Slack, Streak Mailchimp, and SAP. On top of my existing clients, I’m also familiarizing myself with WordPress and SEO (Search Engine Optimization). My utmost goal is to make my clients happy by providing excellent and innovative service. After earning my degree in Animal Nutrition at the University of the Philippines Los Banos, I managed to become a licensed agriculturist. Despite having such a technical degree, I honed my entrepreneurial skills throughout college by having a small crafting business, Crafted by Mommy Tin. I became skilled in making bold choices and a visionary pillar of what my client fancies. My corporate working environment has been circling around meeting deadlines while providing the best quality service using a forward-thinking approach to meet the deadline. I’ve been acquainted enough with different approaches to procurement and supply chain to deliver the optimum solution for the benefit of my end users. These experiences have led me to become knowledgeable of situational business settings. Ever since I became a leader in my class and in various organizations and extracurriculars, I’ve been enthusiastic about helping people. Planning and organizing are some of my favorite activities. After some time in the corporate world, I made the daring choice to pursue what my heart wanted—brainstorming ideas and meeting various people, and I know I can achieve these through freelancing. Most freelancers would have their own unique stories on how and why they shifted to freelancing as a career. Here's my story💁‍♀️

I've pushed through learning social media management because, at the back of my mind, I still wanted to pursue writing. Well, I was a campus journalist way back in high school. An all-rounder one - news writer/layout artist / literature writer / radio broadcaster. Most of my happy memories were when we were doing our local newspapers 📰 and doing literature works. I initially applied for a journalism course in a university, but my grades were more inclined to a science-related course. With that, I pursued Agriculture 👩‍🌾 at the University of the Philippines Los Banos, and I became a Licensed Agriculturist.

After getting my license, I worked for a couple of corporate companies as a farm supervisor, procurement officer, and supply chain planner. 🏪Those work experiences left a lasting impression on me, as well as a lot of great memories.☺️

After marrying and having a child, I was eventually faced with a dilemma that most working parents face - the juggling of responsibilities. 👨‍👩‍👧 Although I adore my job as a supply chain planner, I had to resign because of the difficulty of both being a working mom and traveling. I was rehired then as a procurement officer in one of my former workplaces. However, even though it is closer to our home, I was still faced with another issue - the pandemic, which ultimately resulted in being retrenched. 😞

A year after the retrenchment, I got back up my feet focusing on my longtime handicraft business - Crafted by Mommy Tin. 🧶 Though it has been just a hobby for ten years, I've been doing all the stuff in that small business of mine - brainstorming starter kits for newbies, editing all graphics, inventory management, and so much more. A part of me felt that I might have the skills to be a freelancer if I could accomplish this with my handicraft business. I got my first client this year, and then another one, and another one. And now, I'm improving my freelancing abilities by attending classes. And I feel alive again. 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

I still have a lot of room for development, but one thing is certain: I will never regret pursuing this field. 📈⭐️
