LOOK: A walkthrough of the proposed new Dumaguete City Public Market, a modernization project aimed at upgrading the city’s more than 40-year-old public market.
The proposed facility will feature a transport terminal, off-street parking, a third-floor parking area, a 1.3-megawatt solar power system, and a curved LED wall. Plans also include a convention center with a 500-person capacity, as well as escalators and elevators for easier public access.
The modernized market is also expected to include wet and dry sections, a cleaner and more spacious painitan area, and other upgraded amenities designed to improve convenience for vendors and consumers.
Once approved, the project is expected to become a new modern landmark in Dumaguete City.
