SCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION ADVISORY | May 24, 2026 (Sunday)
This scheduled power interruption is due to important upgrading works under Negros Power’s 69kV BCD-BATA Lines Rehabilitation Project.
Why is this necessary?
With the continuous growth in power demand in Bacolod City and nearby areas, the current Bacolod-Bata line capacity of 126 MVA is no longer enough to support the increasing load requirement.
Through this project, the line capacity will be upgraded to 220 MVA to support the energization of two new substations:
• 37.5 MVA Capitol Substation
• 37.5 MVA Megaworld Substation
This scheduled interruption is necessary to safely energize and connect these substations, which will help provide:
✔️ Additional power capacity
✔️ More stable and reliable electricity service
✔️ Reduced overloading and power fluctuations
✔️ Better support for the continuous growth and development of Bacolod and nearby areas
This project is part of Negros Power’s 5-year rehabilitation plan to build a stronger and more reliable power system for electric consumers in Central Negros.

NGAA KINAHANGLAN INI HIMUON?
Sa padayon nga pagdako sang demand sa kuryente sa Bacolod kag mga kalapit nga syudad, kinahanglan padakuon ang kapasidad sang aton subtransmission line. Sa subong, ang Bacolod-Bata line may ara sang capacity nga 126 MVA lamang, kag indi na ini kaigo sa nagataas nga load sa area.
Pinaagi sini nga proyekto, aton i-upgrade ang linya pakadto sa 220 MVA agud masuportahan ang duha ka bag-o nga mga substations:
• 37.5 MVA Capitol Substation
• 37.5 MVA Megaworld Substation
