Businesses that post regularly to their Google Business Profile are 2.7x more likely to be considered reputable by consumers. Responding to reviews is part of that activity signal.

Google has already indexed your old posts. When you update them with fresh information, Google re-crawls them faster, typically within days.

A brand new post has to earn everything from scratch including authority. That takes months.

So before you write your next blog post, open Google Search Console, go to Performance, and find your posts sitting on page 2 or 3. Those are your fastest wins. Update the title tag, refresh the content, add a section that answers a question your buyers are actually asking right now, and add 2-3 internal links from your stronger pages pointing to it.

Most of our clients see movement within 30-60 days.

Save this before you write another post.

Not your fault. These are just the things the internet kept telling us until we believed them.

1. Most businesses that go viral don't see a single new customer from it. Virality ≠ Revenue.

2. A bigger ad budget feels like the logical fix when leads slow down. But if the website isn't converting the traffic you already have, more traffic just costs more money.

3. A pretty website feels like proof you're serious. But design alone is not a conversion strategy. The words, the structure, the next step - you need these to convert.

4. Being everywhere feels responsible. But showing up inconsistently on six platforms is worse than showing up well on two.

That's nearly 4x the conversion rate.

Paid just feels faster. You turn it on, leads show up. You turn it off, they stop. It's easy to justify in a budget meeting.

But over time, the math looks different.
Every lead from paid costs you money. Every lead from organic costs you less the longer you run it.

The best answer is a hybrid. Use paid for immediate pipeline and build organic for long term benefits.

These 5 changes take under an hour but make such a difference!

1
Rewrite your above-the-fold headline
Your homepage headline should answer "what do you do and who is it for" in one sentence.
Not "welcome to" anything. Not your tagline.
Time: 20 minutes. Impact: immediate.

2
Add one specific social proof to your homepage
Like a specific result: "We helped a 45-person MSP in Texas go from 5 inbound leads/month to 34 in 5 months." Specificity is what makes proof believable.
Time: 15 minutes to write, 30 minutes to design. Impact: significant.

3
Replace "Contact Us" with an outcome-based CTA
"Get a free site audit" or "See if we're a fit" sets an expectation and reduces friction.
Time: 10 minutes. Impact: measurable in weeks.

4
Add a sticky header with your primary CTA
Most visitors scroll past your homepage header and lose the conversion path. A sticky header keeps the CTA visible throughout the page.
Time: depends on your platform - under an hour on most CMS. Impact: directly improves conversion rate.

5
Remove competing CTAs
If your homepage has more than 2 calls to action, you're creating decision paralysis. Audit every button and link above the fold. Keep the one that matters most.
Time: 30 minutes. Impact: often immediate lift in conversion rate.

Pick one. Do it today.

Save this for your next site review.

You have the traffic but they're not interested? Here's why:

1
The wrong people are landing on it.
They came from informational searches. They're not ready to buy, they're researching. Fix: audit your top 10 traffic sources in Search Console. Check the actual queries people are using to find you.

2
The right people can't figure out what to do next
Qualified visitors arrive and leave without taking action. Usually because there's no clear, low-friction next step visible immediately.
Fix: the Clarity heatmap will show you where people stop scrolling. If they're not reaching your CTA, move it up.

3
The copy doesn't speak to the buyer's actual concerns
The page talks about features and company history. The buyer wants to know if you've solved their problem before.
Fix: rewrite the above-the-fold section around the buyer's pain point. Test it against the original.

4
The CTA asks for too much too soon
"Schedule a call" from a cold visitor is a big ask. The friction is too high for where they are in the decision process.
Fix: add a lower-commitment offer like a guide, a checklist, a case study as an alternative path.

5
The page loads too slowly on mobile
53% of mobile users abandon a site that takes more than 3 seconds to load. If your mobile LCP is over 3 seconds, you're losing conversions before the page even appears. Fix: PageSpeed Insights, free, gives you the specific elements to fix.

Save this for your next conversion audit.
