"Uy mga ka-foodtrip! 🍽️
Habang naglalakad ako dito sa Tacloban, napadaan ako sa isang kainan... pero teka lang, hindi muna pagkain ang bumungad sakin—kundi ‘tong napaka-astig na mural sa pader! 😮

Alam niyo ba, may kwento pala kung saan nanggaling ang pangalan ng Tacloban?
Galing pala sa salitang ‘taklub’—panghuli ng isda na gamit ng mga mangingisda noon.
Kapag tinatanong daw sila kung saan punta, sasagot sila ng ‘tarakluban’—lugar kung saan sila nangingisda.
At ayun, tarakluban naging Tacloban! Astig no? 😎

Grabe, hindi lang panlasa ang nabusog ko ngayon—pati utak!
Saludo ako sa gumawa ng ganitong likhang may puso at kasaysayan. 🙌

Look who I spotted supporting our local producers! This lovely Bisaya lady is proudly enjoying her morning kape in a mug from BPAEV Marketing Cooperative right here in Tacloban! Like how she's enjoying a taste of home, I believe in supporting our local farmers and businesses.
Every time I cook for you guys, I try my best to source ingredients right here in Eastern Visayas. From the freshest seafood in our kinilaw to the sweetest moron for dessert, it's all about showcasing the best of what we have.
This picture reminded me of the importance of community. When we buy locally, we're not just getting delicious food but helping our neighbors, friends, and problems.

The Storm Inside
