Elpedes Miniature Model Maker (EMMM) was registered with the Department of Trade and Industry as a single proprietorship in the year 2001 under the ownership of Melchor I. The office started at the garage of the family’s property in Taguig. Later on, EMMM moved to a bigger shop located at Block 22, Lot 57, Phase 2, EP Housing, Brgy. The owner, Melchor I. Elpedes, was a former Chief Model Maker of
the Luis F. Intia Model Builders. As a chief model maker, he was frequently sent to different project locations—local and foreign. In 1990, he flew to Saudi Araibia to work with Mukthar Shibani, an owner of a big miniature model making company there. Gaining much experience in his previous works, Melchor decided to team up with his brother Emilio I. Elpedes in incorporating their own model making business which was later named as Architectural Model Limited. Later on, due to the higher demand for scale models, Melchor decided to move to Taguig and start a business on his own. The company was organized to engage in architectural miniature scaled model in response to the bigger requirements of the miniature model making industry. Effective in January 18, 2009, the company changed its business name from ELPEDES MINIATURE MODEL MAKER to ELPEDES MINIATURE MODEL MAKER & DESIGN to incorporate new products and services such as fabrication of signage and advertising materials. With more than 15 years in the industry, EMMM has proven its credibility in creating quality miniature scaled models.
