Repetition is a powerful way to enhance a design. It can be used to reinforce a message, build aesthetic appeal, add complexity, and establish rhythm. When it comes to patterns, we have much to learn from nature’s golden angle or ratio. For reasons not fully understood, humans are naturally drawn to objects and images that use the golden ratio. Not only does an object look aesthetically pleasing, the pattern created from this ratio is functional and efficient. Nature really is a gigantic library of design inspirations.

i made this for our branding assignment freelancing course under
i initially wanted to develop my own monogram as my logo, but had to let it go because i couldn’t find a clever way to combine my initials (but as i develop my skills who knows i might actually be able to create it! i’m hopeful tho)
so i started to think of things i like.
i always liked squares, because i thought it’s the most no-brainer shape. (even at school, it has the simplest equation to solve). it’s very simple in form and structure, but it works everywhere (i mean everywhere!). for me, it’s a very dependable shape.
i like bold type, darker color schemes, and a modern, contemporary look. these things combined, this is the result.
