May 4, 2025 | My entire day - shared like a book.
Yesterday felt like a 4-way battle. (May 3)
Today?
A sleep-deprived sprint through a minefield — powered by caffeine, pressure, and pure will.
I crashed at 3AM.
Snoozed the alarm at 6:30. Dragged myself up for an 8AM sales call.
Did the prep. Set the stage. Showed up.
Then… nothing.
The meeting was rescheduled to May 5, 7AM.
No notice. Just silence.
Freelancer life — where you dress up for war and sometimes fight shadows.
Not always glamorous. Not always fair.
But there was no room for pity.
By noon, I was deep into another sales deck — for a 7PM pitch.
3 hours of sleep. Foggy brain.
But my hand moved anyway — copy, structure, ROI calc, design.
By 3PM, Dalgona coffee hit my bloodstream like jet fuel.
Sharpness returned. But the clock was mocking me.
And as if that wasn’t enough?
My client’s podcast launch was melting down.
From 12PM to 6PM, I was wrangling with YouTube.
Uploaded the 4K episode — all 26GB of it — but phone verification kept failing.
Tried 3 different numbers.
Each one greeted me with the same error screen.
I felt my chest tighten.
Switched to Spotify. Uploaded it there.
Same time — uploaded it on Facebook, just in case.
It wasn’t part of the plan — but this was survival.
Then, at 6PM, I tried one last thing.
Used my personal Globe number.
Boom. It worked.
I literally stood up, threw my arms up, and shouted:
“YES! FINALLY!”
Like I just landed a spacecraft.
From there, it was go time.
YouTube upload? Check.
Episode title? Done.
Thumbnail? Inserted.
All of it — before the 7PM meeting.
Then… 7:15PM.
Finally got into Zoom.
“Hey, I’ve got another meeting at 7:35,” he said.
My heart dropped.
20 minutes for a custom-crafted deck with strategy, projections, and an ROI breakdown?
I went into rapid-fire mode.
No pauses. No warm-ups. Just straight pitch.
Then he gave me 11 more minutes.
Kept cutting me off.
Jumping to pricing, asking how it works —
Skipping the context, skipping the structure I carefully built.
I get it. He was in a rush.
But I built that deck like a map — and he wanted to teleport.
Still, I wrapped it.
Gave the overview. Shared the services. Dropped the ROI calc.
Told him:
"You’re projecting over 250K AED per batch, and we’re just asking for a tiny slice. Less than 8%."
Not fluff. Not theory. Just math based on his numbers.
He runs over 10 courses. 3 levels each. 30 to 35 students per course.
It’s not hope. It’s scalable revenue.
And you know what?
Here's what disappointed me...
I even tried to document my entire day —
B-rolls, screen recordings, even the pitch itself.
Had 39 minutes of raw footage.
But when I rewatched it…
I deleted it.
The energy I had — full of fire — now felt like ash.
My excitement went from 90 to 15. Maybe zero.
It hurt.
Lesson of the Day?
If your client didn’t block time —
If they’ve got another commitment right after yours —
Reschedule.
Because if you rush through a strategy pitch, you’re not selling…
You’re rapping.
And you don’t drop value when you’re dodging a clock.
