Nature's Noel Christmas Tree of Life
This Christmas tree is a remarkable example of creativity, sustainability, and cultural significance. It inspires us to celebrate Christmas in meaningful, eco-friendly ways that honor both nature and tradition. Made primarily from dried leaves, an OAK LEAF FERN or locally known as "Kayabo leaf" covered to an old Banig. The base, painted a Nativity, to honor the birth of Our King to an old Tire with coconut dried palm barns "hagupit".
This is also decorated with coconut twigs and coconut fruit holder/flower.
Coconut "the tree of Life" a vital part in the economy, representing wealth and economic stability. With deep symbols and meanings related to life, resilience, purity, abundance and protection.
We also used recyclable materials such as cartons from xray film, empty cartons of medicines and supplies, empty bottles of radio opaque contrast, used bottle cups. They may be empty, trash or no longer of use already, but let us remember that such materials still have great value not only as recycled materials, of environmental awareness particularly on reducing waste.
The use of these natural materials highlights the environmental consciousness, reminding us of the importance of sustainability, especially during a season often associated with excess. The tree also symbolizes community spirit, as such creations are often the result of collective effort, bringing people together in celebration.
This tree serves as a powerful reminder that the true essence of Christmas lies in creativity, meaning, and community, rather than extravagance. It inspires us to embrace sustainable practices and find beauty in simplicity, while celebrating the holiday in ways that honor both tradition and environmental responsibility.
