No theory. No textbook answers. This is what actually works when real money is on the line. Comment “FBADS” for real FB ads expertise.

Tip #6: Only 5% of your ads will actually win. Build like you know this.

Only 5 to 8 percent of ads become real winners. About half of all ads launched never get meaningful spend at all.

The best teams know this and they don’t panic about it — they build production systems that keep testing without burning out.

More ads tested equals more chances at a winner. It’s probability, not guesswork. The teams that win aren’t smarter. They’re just running more shots on goal.

Tip #7: Iterate more than you explore.

When something works, don’t abandon it and chase a completely new idea. The right ratio is 70 to 80 percent iteration on proven patterns and 20 to 30 percent exploration of new angles.

You don’t need a new idea every time. You need a better version of the idea that already showed signal. Make 5 variations of what’s working before you move on.

Tip #8: Your offer is more powerful than your ad.

No amount of media buying skill, clever targeting, or creative genius can save a bad offer. Ads steal the credit — but it’s always a compelling offer that does the real work.

I’ve scaled accounts to millions in spend. The number one reason campaigns fail at high levels isn’t the creative or the targeting. It’s a weak offer.

Before you touch your ad account, ask yourself one question: would I personally stop scrolling and buy this?

If the answer is no — fix the offer first.

Tip #9: Match your creative to where the person is in the funnel.

Top of funnel needs story-driven, curiosity-based content. Someone who’s never heard of you doesn’t want a discount — they want a reason to care.

Middle of funnel needs education and proof.

Bottom of funnel needs testimonials, social proof, and urgency.

Running a hard-sell ad to a cold audience is like proposing on a first date. Read the room. Match the message to the moment.

Tip #10: An ad that wins in Reels may die in Feed. Track them separately.

The bottom line: Strong hook. Right message. Constant testing. Respect the offer. Trust the algorithm.

Tip #1: Your hook is not part of your ad. Your hook IS your ad.

You have 3 seconds. That’s it.

If your video doesn’t stop the scroll in the first 3 seconds, nobody sees the rest. The best hook formats dominating high-spend accounts right now — backed by data from over $1.3 billion in ad spend — are confession, bold claim, relatability, contrast, and curiosity.

Use one every single time.

Pro move: create one core video body and test 5 different hooks against it. Don’t remake the whole ad. Just change the opening. You’ll find your winner faster and cheaper.

Tip #2: Watch your Hook Rate. Below 25% means your creative is the problem — not your budget.

Hook Rate is the percentage of people who watch the first 3 seconds of your video. Healthy benchmark is 30 to 40 percent. Below 20 percent — your hook is failing and no amount of extra budget will save it.

I’ve watched businesses dump more money into failing campaigns thinking scale will fix it.

It won’t. Fix the hook first. Then scale.

Tip #3: Creative is your targeting now.

Stop obsessing over detailed interest targeting. In high-spend accounts, broad targeting plus strong creative consistently wins. Your creative self-selects your audience. Make an ad that speaks powerfully and specifically to your ideal buyer — and Meta’s algorithm will find them for you.

The creative creates the targeting. Internalize that.

Tip #4: Creative fatigue hits faster than you think. Build a system, not just good ideas.

At high spend levels, creative fatigue doesn’t take weeks. It can happen in days. The brands winning right now are testing 5 to 10 new creative concepts every single week — not waiting for inspiration.

You can’t run a high-spend account on occasional good ideas. You need a pipeline. A process. A machine.

This is exactly why creative strategy is a non-negotiable skill at this level.

Tip #5: Ugly ads outperform beautiful ads — if the message is right.

I’ve watched slick, expensive agency videos lose to a phone-shot talking head every single time — because the message was sharper

Let me give you the exact roadmap I would follow if I were starting from scratch today as a Facebook media buyer. No fluff. No gatekeeping. Let's go.

Step 1: Study Facebook Ads through YouTube, Google or FB groups.

This is your foundation. Before you spend a single peso on ads — or touch a client's ad account — you need to understand how the platform works. How does the auction system work? What is CPM, CPC, ROAS, CTR? What's the difference between a campaign, ad set, and ad?

You don't need to pay for anything at this stage. YouTube alone has hundreds of hours of free content. Google can answer almost any specific question.

Think of this as your orientation week. You're not trying to master anything yet. You're just getting the lay of the land — so when you go deeper, everything clicks faster.

Most people skip this step because they want to jump straight to "making money." Don't be most people.

Step 2: Watch my FREE Facebook Ads training — it's pinned at the top of my page, Si Andio.

Here's where things get more practical. I made this training specifically for people who are serious but not yet ready to invest in a full course. It walks you through the actual platform — not theory, not fluff — real, working knowledge you can apply immediately.

This is your bridge from "I kind of get it" to "okay, I actually know what I'm doing."

And it's free. Completely free. No email opt-in, no hidden upsell just to watch it. Just go to my page, it's pinned right at the top. Watch it once. Then watch it again and take notes.

If after watching that training you don't feel like this is a skill worth learning — fair enough. But I'm willing to bet you won't feel that way.

Step 3: If you're serious — enroll in my Basic to Advanced Facebook Ads Course.

Now you've done your research. You've watched the free training. You know this is real and you want to go all in. This is the step where you stop consuming free content and start investing in structured, proven knowledge.

My course takes you from the basics all the way to advanced campaign strategy — the kind of stuff that lets you confidently manage real ad budgets for real clients.

And here's something I want you to understand: gurus out there are selling this exact level of information for 10 times the price I'm charging you. Not because their content is 10 times better. But because their marketing is better. That's the game.

I'd rather give you access to everything you need at a price that doesn't require you to take out a loan — so you can actually focus on learning instead of stressing about the investment.
₱1,999. One year of access. Use it.

Step 4: Learn human psychology and advertising fundamentals. Start reading.

This is the step that separates good media buyers from great ones — and almost nobody talks about it.

Facebook Ads is not just a technical skill. It is, at its core, a persuasion skill. You need to understand why people buy. What triggers action. What creates desire. What makes someone stop scrolling and pay attention.

And the best way to build that muscle? Read.

Start with these three:

Hey Whipple, Squeeze This by Luke Sullivan — this will change how you think about advertising and creativity forever.

Breakthrough Advertising by Eugene Schwartz — this is the bible of understanding customer awareness and desire. Old book, timeless ideas.

And anything by Dan Kennedy — his books on direct response marketing are required reading if you want to write ad copy that actually converts.

You don't have to read them all at once. One book at a time. But start. The media buyers who read are the ones clients never want to let go of.

Step 5: Once you're earning — learn Creative Strategy.

You've got clients. You're getting paid. Now it's time to level up your value.

Creative strategy is the ability to look at a brand, understand its audience, and develop the concepts, angles, and messaging frameworks behind winning ads. It answers the question: what should we say, and how should we say it?

This skill is rare. Most media buyers know how to set up campaigns. Very few know how to actually think through the creative side — the hook strategy, the emotional triggers, the narrative structure of an ad.

When you add creative strategy to your media buying skill set, you stop being just an operator.

You become a strategic partner. And strategic partners command significantly higher rates.

This is how you go from ₱15,000 a month to ₱50,000. From ₱50,000 to six figures. Learn this.

Step 6: Now use AI to make your process faster — but use it right.

Once you have the foundations, AI becomes a superpower. But here's what I want to be very clear about:

Your job as a media buyer is not to edit videos. It's not to produce graphics. That is not your lane — at least not right now.

What AI is genuinely useful for in your role is this: coming up with ideas, writing ad copy variations, developing creative angles, and thinking through different messaging approaches at scale.

ChatGPT and Claude are more than enough for this. Prompt them well and they become your brainstorming partner, your copywriter, your creative director — available 24/7, for free.

Use AI to think faster and produce better work. Not to replace the thinking. The thinking is still yours. That's what clients are actually paying for.

Follow these six steps in order. Don't skip. Don't rush. And don't let anyone convince you this skill is out of reach — because it's not.

I built my entire career on this. And I'm handing you the map.

The only question is whether you're going to use it.
