Based on a true story 📖📚

it was past midnight, around 12:15 am. i was deep in work and starving, so i decided to order a quick food delivery.

when the rider arrived, he handed over the food and, out of nowhere, asked me:

“va po kayo, ma’am?”

tbh, i was a bit surprised he even knew about it.

i nodded and said, “yes.”

his eyes lit up.

“dream job ko po yan. nag-iipon ako para makabili ng laptop… kaya nag oovertime ako.”

it hit me.

sometimes we forget how privileged we are to work from home, but there are others grinding twice as hard, saving every peso just to get their start.

moral of the story is:

lahat tayo may kanya kanyang pacing in this journey.

may mga nagsisimula pa lang, nangangapa, nalilito, na ooverwhelm, nag aaral at nag iipon para makapag umpisa.

may mga naka ilang hakbang na at may clients na. may income na. yung iba multiple clients pa, thriving and living their best life.

may mga nagpapatuloy at lumalaban pa din kahit naka ilang rejections na.

yung iba, nag give up na kaka apply at bumalik sa corpo.

and that’s okay. freelancing is not for everyone.

but for those of us already here, don’t take it for granted. take care of your clients. do not just “keep them,” but genuinely add value.

trabahuin mo ng maayos.

take good care of what you already have.
