As I celebrate another year of life today, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone who took the time to greet me on my birthday.

To all the individuals, our beloved barangays, organizations, friends, colleagues, and my extended LGU Trinidad Family, Sangguniang Bayan Family, TMC Family, my FAMILY, thank you so much for your warm birthday wishes, thoughtful messages, prayers, and expressions of love. Every greeting, whether in person or through social media, has made my birthday extra special and truly memorable.

Sa pagka karon nag serbisyo pa ang TWS sa mga estudyante sa BACS Meet, ug sa mga mo sunod nga adlaw by formal request ang atong water truck services nga mo serbisyo sa Barangays. On behalf of the Drum and Lyre Committee under the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Trinidad for the celebration of the 79th Anniversary, I would like to address the false interpretation and malicious comments regarding the results of the DLC 2026.

There were two meetings to address the finalization of the guidelines. The first meeting happened on June 30, 2026 attended by the School Heads of both Elementary and Secondary levels. The Committee consulted the School Heads on the Number of total performers, the total performance time and the subsidy to be received by the schools. Even then, the Committee had already been aware that some schools were not going to participate. To which the idea of OPENING THE COMPETITION was introduced. Some heads persisted to keep it within DepEd Trinidad and it was agreed.

Tanan nga gikasabutan, mao ang gi sunod sa Guidelines. Let's focus on the Secondary level. The number of total performers was closed at 70 pax. The total performance time was 10 minutes including preparation of instruments and clearing. And the subsidy that was requested was two times the amount of last year's which was approved at Php 80,000 per contingent. Again, tanan nga gi request. Maoy gi hatag ug gi provide sa guidelines.

The second meeting was on August 15, 2026. Which was then attended by the DLC Coordinators. One of the major concerns raised is that 10 minutes will not be enough to prepare and clear the instruments. So it was agreed that 3 minutes will be alloted for the PREPARATION and STAGE SET UP and 2 minutes for the CLEANING, CLEARING and REMOVAL of MATERIALS (Provided in this post is the actual guidelines please see Page 1, Performance Guidelines, Item B)

FALLACIOUS STATMENT
"1:13 minutes pa lang ang nahurot nga time sa entrance, gi-switch na dayon sa 10-minute na timer para sa presentation?
Naa pa lang sa ubos, gi-timeran na para sa performance proper?

"Nilapas ang time?
Pero nganong gi-isa na ang flag ug gi-start ang timer while naa pa sa ubos sa stage?
‎Bawal mo roll kay signal na "kuno" nga mag-start na? Pero unsay gibasehan? Na-informed ba tanan daan ani?
‎Naa sa guidelines na bawal mulapas?
Pero nganong wala hutda daan tanan ang 3 minutes nga entrance?
Nganong gi-largo ug start pag roll pa lang bisan naa pa sa ubos tas wala pa nahurot ag 3 minutes? 1:13 minutes pa gani?
‎Naingnan man kuno? Pero nganong very last minute? Nganong pag-line na sa entrance? Nganong wala daan gi-klaro before the event and even sa guidelines ug unsaon pag classify kung kini ani maoy ilhanan na nga mag start na ang timer?"

FACTUAL ANSWER:
NOWHERE IN THE GUIDELINES DO WE SAY
"ENTRANCE" and "EXIT". The Guidelines provide a strict and concise description. It is not up for free interpretation. Under Item III Performance Guidelines. PAR B. Every contingent shall be given a maximum of ten (10)minutes for the actual performance. Prior to the performance, the contingent shall be given three (3) minutes for PREPARATION and STAGE SETUP. After the performance, the contingent shall be given two (2) minutes for CLEARING, CLEANING and REMOVAL OF MATERIALS FROM THE PERFORMANCE AREA.

When you use your instruments it signals the crowd and the whole committee that the performance has already begun. It is called DRUM AND LYRE COMPETITION for that precise reason.

The 3 minute time is allotted for the preparation of your instruments. Stop using it as a cloak of protection to insult our time keepers and Committee Organizers. It is an insult to the Local Government Unit and an insult to your school.

For clearer understanding, here are clips of the contingents whose time started precisely when their instruments have sounded. Bisan ug wala pa sila naka saka sa stage ug bisan wala pa ni signal ug start sa performance because all our time keepers have been FOLLOWING THE PROTOCOL provided by the guidelines.

FALLACIOUS STATMENT
" Sa 5 point deductions sad na part, asa man jud i deduct? Sa total score? Sa average score? Because the guidelines didn't explicitly explained that. The guidelines itself did not also classify what's the difference between the total score and the average score. Libog sad. Asa man jud mag-minus?"

FACTUAL ANSWER:
On Items II. Qualifiaction and Composition, under PAR A,B,C it clearly states " Any violation of this guideline will mean a five (5) point deduction from the TOTAL SCORE.

Thus repeated again under Item III. Performance Guidelines C, F, G.

If it is still unclear, you can Google to confirm that the total score is the sum of all the individual scores added together. Strictly speaking, if we followed the Guidelines, a special award should not have been given to that contingent who received a deduction. But the judges ruled against it having been convinced that they are deserving of the award.

We hope this has clarified any questions and concerns regarding the validity of the results that were delivered. On behalf of the DLC Committee, we thank our partners, most especially our hard working time keepers and tabulation Committee.

Lahi lahi ang reaksyon sa mga ginikanan pero wa nausab ang responsibiladad sa Healthcare workers aron ma edukar ang katawhan bahin sa Measles-Rubella Vaccine.

At the end of the day, mo gawas ra gyud ang atong pagka inahan. Salamat sa ni barog sa ilang baruganan, ug ni gamit sa saktong pamaagi sa ilang tingog diri sa social media.

Padayon gihapon ang pag monitor sa atong Lgu Trinidad sa MR vaccine roll out.

Sa nag duha2 ayaw pag dumili ug pangutana kay daghan kaayong ganahan mo pasabot aron ma wa ang ka guol sa mga ginikanan. Atong hinumduman nga na sinati na nato ang Measles outbreak pag tuig 2019, dili layo nga mahitabo balik kung daghan pa ang mo balibad sa MR Vaccine.
