MECHANICS:

1. This is open to food businesses in Metro Manila.
2. Registration period will run from October 17- October 24, 2020

4. (3) chosen businesses will be contacted by our team at least 3 days before the photoshoot schedule.
5. Maximum of 2 products per business.
6. Winners will get the following: 1-2 styled and edited photos (1 per product), 1 photo with both products, 1-2 posters (1 per product)
7. Inclusions of this treat are final and non-negotiable.

Winners will be drawn via Facebook live on October 25, 8PM.

This discussion, which is presented by the New Zealand Embassy - Manila, Philippines, SPARK! Philippines, Roots of Health, Campus Erasmus Mundus, Inc., and EMA Women, aims to open a dialogue on different aspects of women’s health with an emphasis on the state of women’s health in the middle of a pandemic. Maternal and child health, mental health, women’s health technology, as well as menstrual, sexual, and reproductive health will be tackled in this discussion.

New Zealand Ambassador His Excellency Peter Kell will deliver the opening remarks and we will be joined by Senator Sonny Angara for the keynote speech. The closing message will be conducted by SPARK! Trustee Ma. Aurora “Boots” Geotina-Garcia.

The discussion will be moderated by Roots of Health Executive Director Amina Swanepoel. Our panel of speakers includes Dr. Jacqueline Kitong of the World Health Organization Philippines, Dr. Beverly Ho of the Department of Health (Philippines), Executive Director of IAHV Philippines Charmaine G. Cu-Unjieng, Dr. Chelsea Samson of Vigos Health, and Dresda Emma Mendez, a PhD candidate and graduate from the GEMMA Program of Universidad de Granada in Spain.

Amina Evangelista Swanepoel will be our moderator for the Women and Health: Perspectives on Women’s Health During COVID-19 webinar happening on September 30, Wednesday, 4:00 PM (Philippine Time).

Amina is the Founding Executive Director of Roots of Health and the local administrative arm of the organization, Ugat ng Kalusugan, a reproductive health organization in the Philippines. Amina provides leadership in the day-to-day running of the organization and is the liaison with the Roots of Health Board of Directors in the United States and in the Philippines. She oversees the organization’s management and fundraising. She is a member of the Provincial Family Health Council of the Province of Palawan, and of the Puerto Princesa City Local Health Board. She is a Philippines Ashoka Fellow, an Equity Initiative Fellow, a past Vital Voices Lead and Global Ambassadors Fellow, and an Asia Society Asia 21 Young Leader.

Prior to this post, Amina spent two years at Human Rights Watch where she researched and documented human rights abuses in Asia. She also previously held positions with the Guttmacher Institute and the Program Division of UNHCR in India.

Amina received her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, and her Master of International Affairs and Master of Public Health from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and the Mailman School of Public Health.
