This discussion, which is presented by the New Zealand Embassy - Manila, Philippines, SPARK! Philippines, Roots of Health, Campus Erasmus Mundus, Inc., and EMA Women, aims to open a dialogue on different aspects of women’s health with an emphasis on the state of women’s health in the middle of a pandemic. Maternal and child health, mental health, women’s health technology, as well as menstrual, sexual, and reproductive health will be tackled in this discussion.
New Zealand Ambassador His Excellency Peter Kell will deliver the opening remarks and we will be joined by Senator Sonny Angara for the keynote speech. The closing message will be conducted by SPARK! Trustee Ma. Aurora “Boots” Geotina-Garcia.
The discussion will be moderated by Roots of Health Executive Director Amina Swanepoel. Our panel of speakers includes Dr. Jacqueline Kitong of the World Health Organization Philippines, Dr. Beverly Ho of the Department of Health (Philippines), Executive Director of IAHV Philippines Charmaine G. Cu-Unjieng, Dr. Chelsea Samson of Vigos Health, and Dresda Emma Mendez, a PhD candidate and graduate from the GEMMA Program of Universidad de Granada in Spain.
